Sliquid swirl - lubricant by Sliquid, LLC - review by Miss Moxie

I'm the sort of girl who likes to explore different products, for example I'd buy a different shampoo/conditioner every time just because I'd get bored of the scent. After using Maximus for a few months, I decided I wanted something different now that the bottle was empty. After browsing a bit, Sliquid Swirl caught my eye and I'm glad it did.

It came in a plastic bag, which was all of its packaging beyond a safety seal under the flip-top cap. The label is cute, and kind of girly. Which isn't bad in my book. When I peeled the seal, and stuck my nose close I was met with an incredible fruity smell. The same Blue Raspberry scent that makes you want one of those blue blow pops. Pouring some on my finger, and tasting it hesitantly- I was shocked. I expected a diet like taste, or something....something different.

Instead, my taste buds were met with a very pleasing and not overpowering blue raspberry taste. If I wasn't single, I could totally see myself sucking this off of my partner. There is no aftertaste, and its flavor is reminiscent of Blue Jello. I know I love me some Blue Jello.

Its consistency is more on the watery side, which would make sense since it's a water based lubricant. However, so is Maximus, and that was a thicker sort of lube. Rubbing this lubricant into my skin for experiment's sake left me with non-sticky, lightly berry scented skin. So I can absolutely see using this for a massage gel if you really wanted to, there's no adverse affects that I can see.

This lubricant doesn't stain, and is easy to clean up since it has no sticky residue to it. Since it's water based you can use it with any toy or condom, however using it in the shower would be difficult since it's water soluble. I find personally I liked Maximus a bit more, I think it covered my toys easier, and it didn't drip since it was more of a gel.

It's glycerine free and hypoallergenic- which is good for people with sensitive skin. It's also Vegan, and not tested on animals! Always a good thing for our critter friends out there. There are NO PARABENS! Which is something we can all celebrate, since parabens have been linked to breast cancer.

I have found that while using it on a dildo, it doesn't have the longevity that Maximus had. I don't like having to reapply or add water, but to reactivate this after it's gone tacky you must do so. I have not used this lube anally, but I'm sure it would have the same problems with tackiness, especially since there's no natural lubrication back there.

Sliquid Swirl comes in four different mouthwatering flavors, Cherry Vanilla, Pina Colada, Green Apple, and Blue Raspberry. I chose Blue raspberry, but I'm sure the rest are just as delicious! Sliquid Swirl is a product of Sliquid, LLC. You can see their website Here.

The Good - Tastes good, smells good, is not overpowering and doesn't get sticky on your skin. It's not tested on animals, and it's vegan so a lot of people can use this. It's easy to wash off, and because it's water based it's very multi-functional. Has no parabens, and is glycerine free. Comes in a cute bottle with a flip-top cap. Ideal for oral sex.

The bad - Doesn't have the longevity of other lubricants. Some people might find a pump bottle easier/handier than a flip-top cap. It also has aspartame in it. (A list of health risks associated with aspartame can be found here.)

In conclusion, I'd say this lube is good for oral sex, but you'll probably want something better for toys or intercourse as it does dry out rather soon, and I don't think anyone wants to stop to reapply. I also wouldn't use this much or at all because of the aspartame in it. Overall, Sliquid Swirl is a pretty good product.

Ingredients : Purified Water, Plant Cellulose, Polyquat 007, Blueberry and Raspberry flavoring, aspartame, and DMDM hydantoin.
