Slick and Silky Synergy

Use

Wet Synergy is a hybrid lube, which means it is a combination of water and silicone. It is designed to provide both the silky feel and lasting power of silicone lube, and the easy clean up of water based lube. Synergy works well for vaginal and anal use, whether with a partner or a toy. It is compatible with latex condoms. Since Syngergy contains silicone, you may want to avoid using it with silicone toys. If you would like to use it with silicone, make sure to perform a spot test on an inconspicuous area. Synergy is also ideal for handjobs or massage, since it has a great silky feel and doesn't dry up when exposed to air like water based lubes do. Synergy is paraben free, but the first ingredient is glycerin, so those who are prone to yeast infections may want to avoid this product.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Wet describes this lube as having LiquiSatisfaction Technology. This means it starts out as a thick gel for easy, non-drip application, then transforms into a thin layer of liquid lubrication as it is spread across the skin. A fairly firm squeeze of the bottle is require to dispense the product and it may become slightly difficult to dispense as the lube is used up and there is only a small amount remaining at the bottom of the bottle. The texture is extremely slick and silky. It feels very similar to a silicone lube, but slightly lighter. Compared to the other hybrid lube I have tried (Sliquid Silk) it starts off thicker, and seems to contain a higher ratio of silicone to water, which makes it feel more silky and less goopy. Synergy is completely clear and colourless, as opposed to the opaque, white formulas of both Sliquid Silk, and the very popular hybrid lube Liquid Silk.

Taste / Aroma

Synergy has a light smell and flavour. During use, it smells fruity and reminds me of apple cider. When smelled directly from the bottle it has a plastic undertone. It tastes the same way- sweet, but with a slight hint of chemicals. I wouldn't recommend using it for oral sex, but if does end up in your mouth it won't taste awful.

Performance

Synergy is extremely long lasting, and usually will not need to be reapplied. It performs very well for vaginal and anal penetration, handjobs or masturbation, and even makes an excellent massage product. A little goes a long way; a pea sized amount was sufficient for a long session of vaginal sex, and when used for a handjob, a dime sized dollop lasted for over 20 minutes. In other words, it will probably last longer than you do. It washes off easily with water, but if not washed off there is no unpleasant residue left behind. It simply leaves the skin feeling very moisturized and silky.

Packaging

The packaging is attractive and practical. I received the 1.9 oz size, but it is also available in a 7 oz bottle. It has a click top that is easy to open using one hand, but it does require some force, so it shouldn't come open accidentally. The lube hasn't leaked while stored on it's side or carried in a purse, so it can be traveled with, especially if you purchase the smaller bottle. The label is black and metallic fuschia, with silver writing. It looks a bit futuristic, is fairly discreet, and is neither masculine nor feminine looking. The front has the name of the lube in large letters. Small letters indicate that is water and silicone based, and that is concentrated and lasts 3 times longer than Wet's water based lubes. The back highlights some of the products features, and has the usual directions, warnings, and list of ingredients. There is also a symbol indicating that it expires 12 months from the time the bottle is opened.

Personal comments

I have used Synergy with several silicone toys, and have not experienced any reactions between the lube and my toys.

I first tried Synergy over a year ago. It was actually one of the first lubes I ever used. Since then I have tried many others, including several other hybrids; Synergy is still one of my favourites. I will definitely buy more when my current bottle runs out and would recommend it to anyone.

Liquid Silk isn't hybrid, it's water based. Maybe I will try this one for my first silicone lube, I always shy away from them because I have so many silicone toys- but I think I would love the thicker consistency of them. Great review!

Cherryredhead88- Actually, Liquid Silk is a hybrid lube. It contains dimethicone (a type of silicone) as the 4th ingredient.

Very nice review. I used to love Liquid Silk until I noticed irritation from, (I believe) parabens. So maybe this would be a good substitute.

Cherryredhead- I know Carrie Ann had Liquid Silk damage a silicone toy. I've used both hybrid lubes and silicone lubes with silicone toys and have never had a reaction, but like I mentioned in my review it's always best to do a spot test before you slather it all over a new toy.

Oh man that would just tear me up! I absolutely love that stuff now, and I am not going back ! Lol, I am still open to try new lubes but I already ordered my second bottle in a month of the silk.

      Nope, it is just a mix of silicone and water based lubes. Some may not like the feeling of it but it will do no harm unless you are sensitive to the ingredients.
