Uranus silicone based lube - lubricant discontinued by Wet Lubricants - review by pinkpottergirl

This lube is made for anal, but I have used it for vaginal sex and hand-jobs only. It is super slick and long-lasting, perfect for teasing and massage, but it doesn't really absorb into skin and must be washed off. It is perfect for anyone, even singles, but cannot be used with silicone toys because it could melt them. It feels great when a drop is put inside a condom before putting it on--it lets it move and feels like you are not really wearing one. It is also perfect for shower sex; silicone doesn't wash away as easily underwater as other types of lube, letting you have chafe-free sex underwater.

It is thinner than other silicone lubes I have used. It pours easily but not too quickly, making it nice to apply without making a mess. It stays in place very well and feels smooth as silk when applied. A little goes a very long way with Uranus. It didn't become tacky or sticky as it dried and was rubbed about, and I didn't really need to reapply, but you might with anal.

Uranus has absolutely no taste or smell, but you wouldn't want to taste it because it leaves a nasty reside in your mouth. It contains four ingredients which are all silicone derivatives: dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, dimethiconol, phenyl trimethicone. This means no silicone can come in contact with the lube because the silicone can be ruined. There is not much to say for taste and smell other than don't taste it because it will coat your whole mouth with a gross film.

The bottle can get slick, but it has ridges to help you keep a hold of it. The bottle needs to be closed very tightly or it will drip, as it has an easy-open flip-top, which provides for one hand opening for easy reapplication. It lasts a long time, as you only need a dime-sized amount for most things, but it also needs to be washed off with soap and water, which is easy if you use it for shower sex. It does wash off fairly easily and can be removed with Eden wipes as well, though I find it easier to use the shower unless I was playing with a toy alone.
