System JO H2O flavored lubricant by System JO - review by springbaby

I had never used a flavored lube until a few months ago when my partner introduced me to the strawberry System JO H2O. I was a little hesitant because I assumed it would be really sweet but after smelling it, I adjusted my expectations. The flavor itself is fairly subtle and doesn't have that nasty artificial fruit flavor, which I appreciate. The subtlety allowed me to use as much as needed and feel comfortable having it on both my hands and in my mouth. I have also tasted the cherry flavor, which is equally as pleasant.

My negative experience with this lube didn't occur until a few hours after using it. I became nauseous and the discomfort lasted for several hours. At first I didn't connect it to the lube, but after recovering and using it again a day or so later with the same results, I realized that there must be something in it that causes issues with my stomach. (For full disclosure, I had my gallbladder removed a few years ago so I don't process foods/liquids as easily and have fairly strong reactions to new or foreign foods/liquids.)

We still have a ton of this lube (my partner stocked up before we got together) and do use it, but I'm pretty careful now not to get it in my mouth or, if I do, to make sure it's a very small amount. We both really like the consistency of the lube itself and the smell can be pleasant too. We use it mostly for anal penetration with silicone toys/vibes and dildos during strap-on play. It pairs really nicely with Vixskin and doesn't need much reapplication once we get started. I've never used it on me since I have a very sensitive cookie. I'm a big fan of the bottle. The flip top is great and I like having to push in on the cap to get the top to pop open. It makes me feel more secure if we're in a hurry and it falls over on the nightstand.
