Surprise your lovie with a mint chocolate chip flavored crotch!

Tasty Twist is a fun product that will add some flavor to a night of kissing, nibbling and licking. For some, the taste will make oral sex more appealling, and for others, they'll just be happy to have an excuse to lick their partner! A fun treat to surprise your lovie with, and the non-messy product makes it one of my favorites.

Use

Tasty Twist is an edible cream by Jelique, which is a company that carries a wide variety of edible sexual products. I have or have tried all the Jelique products and am very fond of them, Tasty Twist especially.

Tasty Twist is a cream used basically for making your lovie's genitals (or other body parts) taste like mint chocolate chip, buttercream icing, orange dreamsicle or bubblegum. That's a lot of flavors to choose from! Unfortunately, I don't think Eden carries all the flavors of this cream, but they definitely carry the orange dreamsicle and the mint chocolate chip, and those happen to be the two best tasting ones from the line, in my opinion.

Tasty Twist is best suited for couples so unless you enjoy licking edible cream off your own self, I don't think there's many other uses for it.

Apply Tasty Twist anywhere on your partner's body for a tasty treat when you lick. Or even better, surprise your partner with a mint chocolate chip flavored crotch!

Tasty Twist only alters the sensations I feel slightly when applied to my own genitals, but isn't really what you'd use as a cooling/warming lubricant, so its best use is for teasing your partner with little licks and nibbles.

Tasty Twist (and all Jelique products) is made in the USA & are cruelty-free!

Ingredients
Purified Water, Mineral Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Isopropyl Myristate, Menthol, Aloe Vera Gel, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, N&A Flavors, Saccharin, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben.

*Note: While it is L-Arginine free, Jelique made up for that by tossing in loads of parabens and other harmful ingredients!

This does contain the dreadful parabens. It also contains mineral oil and many other less than wonderful ingredients, so do use with caution. This has a lot of icky ingredients, so if you're sensitive, you might consider skipping this product all together.

Closer Look At Each Ingredient

Mineral Oil: Product of distilled petroleum. Used as emollient, skin conditioning agent and solvent. Many people avoid using mineral oil due to the possibility that may be contaminated with cancer-causing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. It's also been said that the use of mineral oil can further irritate skin problems and even cause skin to prematurely age. Mineral oil doesn't allow skin to breathe, and using mineral oil on the skin regularly can cause hormonal effects such as endometriosis (which I already have, ovarian dysfunction and even miscarriage.

Cetyl Alcohol: Also known as Palmityl Alcohol. Cetyl Alcohol is a derived from fats or oils. Commonly used in hair products to provide smoother, softer hair. Often used to thicken a product (think shapoo or conditioner). Also used in water based lubricants sometimes. Cetyl Alcohol does the same for skin--used as an emollient, makes it smoother and softer.

Glyceryl Stearate: Made by a reaction from combining glycerin and stearic acid. Acts as lubrication on skin's surface. Forms a barrier on skin to slow moisture loss. Softens skin and leaves smooth appearance. This ingredient has been evaluated by CIR Expert Panel and deemed safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate: A surfactant and cleaning agent. Works to clean hair and skin by sort of binding together water, oil and dirty and rinsing them away with the help of water. This ingredient has been evaluated by CIR Expert Panel and deemed safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products. However, the actual safety of this ingredient is somewhat a mystery. The Journal of the American College of Toxicology reported finding that it's able to penetrate the skin and carcinogenic nitrosamines can form in this ingredient. It also "enters and maintains residual levels in the heart, liver and lungs just from skin contact." It may cause skin layers to separate and become inflamed due to protein-denaturing properties.

Isopropyl Myristate: Derived from isopropyl alcohol and myristic acid. A binder, skin conditioning agent and emollient. This ingredient has been evaluated by CIR Expert Panel and deemed safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products.

Menthol: An alcohol that can be derived from either peppermint or other mint oils or prepared synthetically, as I suspect it has been for use in Tasty Twist. Used for its anesthetic properties, a flavoring agent, denaturant, and fragrance ingredient.

Aloe Vera Gel: Hundreds of uses. Most likely it's used in lubricants and personal care products for its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, healing, soothing and moisturizing properties. This ingredient has been evaluated by CIR Expert Panel and deemed safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products.

Carbomer: Made from acrylic acid. Helps to suspend and distribute an insoluble solid in a liquid. Prevents separation of emulsions, controls consistency and flow. This ingredient has been evaluated by CIR Expert Panel and deemed safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products.

Triethanolamine: Helps to form emulsions so that oil and and water soluble ingredients can blend together, and to control the pH levels in personal care products. This ingredient has been evaluated by CIR Expert Panel and deemed safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products. However, it's also shown to be a skin, immune, respiratory toxicant.

N&A Flavors: Unknown! They're flavors, but the rest is a mystery.

Saccharin: Artificial sweetener.

Phenoxyethanol: Can be found naturally in green tea, but the most commonly used type is a synthetic. Used in cosmetics and personal care products. Only slightly, but Phenoxyethanol is a viscous liquid with a rose scent to it. It functions to prevent microbial growth, protecting these products from ruining.

Methylparaven,Butylparaben, Ethylparaben & Propylparaben: These are all parabens and all are very harmful! Enough said.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

In the above photos you can see the white colored, creamy, lotion-like Tasty Twist squirted directly onto my hand. It's thick, creamy, non-runny and very much like a hand lotion in consistency and texture. In the next photo, you see it after I rubbed it in a little. It's still damp and shiny on my skin because it takes a good deal of rubbing before it really dries up and absorbs, and it does feel like some of this product absorbs into my skin rather than hanging out on top of it like a thick layer of icing on a cake.

On a really good note, this does not leave any kind of sticky residue, greasiness or noticeable feeling. Once our fun is all wrapped up, it will leave our skin really smooth, but nothing is to be detected. I also don't feel bothered by it on my hands. Sometimes when I get lubricant or regular body lotion on my hands, I have the urge to rinse them off because the feeling of the product is there. I don't notice much of anything left on my hands when I've applied Tasty Twist using my fingers.

The cream is slick, smooth and stays in place very well. This is good for those of us who don't want Tasty Twist ending up finding its way inside our vaginas! If you place the cream on other areas of the vulva, it's going to stay there well.

The full sized product is a tube with a snap-top cap so you can squirt out a small amount of product at a time. This means it's easy to apply directly where you want it without getting everywhere. However, I have the full sized tube of the other flavors like buttercream icing, but in mint chocolate chip I only have a bunch of sample packets, so you'll see the full sized tube in buttercream and the sample packet of mint chocolate chip. I've put photos of both, so you get an idea of what the tube will look like in terms of size and such.

On a side note, I've included a photo of the sample packet of the mint chocolate chip flavor. If you'll look, you can see where some of the cream dried up on the side and took on a sort of waxy form, and turned tan! What? It doesn't do this on my skin of course. However, while it doesn't leave noticeable residue, a simply wet washcloth or rinse in the shower would be sufficient in removing the product entirely from skin.

Taste / Aroma

Tasty Twist has some of the best flavors I've ever came across in a flavored sexual product! Most of the flavors are surprisingly very realistic, for example the mint chocolate chip tastes nearly identical to an actual mint chocolate chip flavored dessert! Of course the creamy texture and it being a liquid, not a solid like cake, means you can't exactly go foolin' someone into thinking they're actually eating cake or ice-cream, but the flavor is dead on!

I do not suggest taking this in large amounts. It's a pretty strong flavor. One lick over an area where this was previously applied and rubbed in will be plenty enough to give you the minty chocolate taste.

Another good note, I didn't have any real or yucky aftertaste from this, and neither did my partner. It doesn't have that funky artificial sweetener taste and the only after effects left in my mouth is the minty menthol feeling/taste. The taste is very sweet, which entices me want to lick only, not drink or swallow!

The smell is sweet and minty. It doesn't have any other aroma besides that.

Performance

The flavored Wet Lubricant/Massage stuff has been my all time favorite flavored sexual edible for years, especially their watermelon/grape blend! Last year, I got ahold of a slew of Shunga products and fell madly in love with their strawberries & champagne flavors. I found the Wet brand to always require a shower after using due to sticky icky residue left over. Shunga was better, but Tasty Twist does out-do Wet in terms of lasting performance and not requiring immediate clean up. I've really not liked any other flavored product enough to keep buying or keep using and Tasty Twist is pretty nice. I am very fond of the mint chocolate chip flavor and the orange dreamsicle. My partner likes the buttercream icing and I did too, but it was too sweet for me to love and it left a funky taste in my mouth after a second.

Tasty Twist is great for those of us who like flavor, but don't like having to clean ourselves and our sheets afterwards. Tasty Twist has not stained any fabrics and I never feel like a sticky mess after using. I also find that I only need the tiniest amount of Tasty Twist for any "treatment" I might be performing on my partner and vice-versa. It can even be used for a hand-job, although it's not going to provide the results of a silicone lubricant, a quarter sized drop will last for approximately 25 minutes without the need of re-applying. Your mileage may vary here! As for clitoral/vulva massaging using this, I never need to apply more than once.

Using the Tasty Twist cream as a lubricant is not something I would do or advise doing as the ingredients are not safe enough to really go there, but the rest of my vulva has been sacrificed! Despite the horrible ingredients, I can't just throw it out. I like the cream. I'm just careful about excessive use.

Applying the cream to my partner's penis before oral sex is fun, but it can get way too sweet, so I'm careful to only use a tiny amount -- smaller than a penny. You can use as much as you like though. I'll take a small amount, rub in my hands and then apply it to my partner. Then kissing and licking and er... you know, is minty and chocolatey for me and cooling and pleasurable for him.

The cooling sensation will vary between people. For instance, I felt a lot more cooling on my cooter than my partner did on his penis. At times, he doesn't even feel the cooling and sometimes he won't feel a cool sensation until I've licked there. You can also lick and blow air on the skin for cooling sensations.

Did It Actually Enhance Oral Sex?

No. I personally did not feel much of a difference except for the cooling sensation, but using this on my own crotch and then receiving oral did not result in any drastic difference sensation-wise. My partner's results were about the same as mine. It all felt nice and cool, but nothing intense, which wasn't an issue since this isn't particularly an enhancing product, but more of a flavored one.

However, all oral sex aside, when I used this to manually massage my clitoris, there was an increase of blood flow in a shorter amount of time than if I hadn't used it. So it can be used for that as well, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who's on the hunt for an effective clitoral enhancing cream or gel -- instead, I would recommend Horny Honey Cream or Intense, which are specifically designed for this purpose.

Adding the tasty cream in as a foreplay additive is fun. Apply some to your partner's back, legs, butt, crotch neck, etc. and kiss and nibble. One fun little thing I did was apply tiny amounts to specific body parts and have my partner "find" them by licking.

Packaging

Packaging
Tasty Twist came packaged in only a plastic bag. The sample packets were bought elsewhere. The tube is not discreet. It's a white background with printed on image, text & graphics. This means those of us who like to hide our sex-kitten from certain children or other people, you can't simply peel off a label on this one. However, if you really want this stuff, but must have a discreet tube, you could always stick a large sticker of whatever over the tube. Or you could go so far as to scratch the print off with an X-acto knife or something -- just be careful not to puncture the tube! Or heck, just transfer the entire cream into an empty, unlabeled jar/bottle! Yes, I've had to get creative here. I wanted to give my dad the Maxx Shave Cream so badly, but it said "sexual attractant" on the back. So instead of peeling the label off and explaining why, I simply used a Sharpie and marked out the "sexual" words! It worked, and now the tube sits nearly empty in his cabinet! Anyways, so you can actually fix the non-discreet bottle. Just use your beautiful imagination.

Would I give Tasty Twist as a gift?
Only to specific people as a sort of funny mini gift. I would not give this as a Christmas or birthday gift because well, it's just not really worthy. The product is fun and all, but if I'm gifting something to someone, I want to give them something classy and lovely. This could be given more as a gag-gift, and would be fun and useful for a couple, but it just screams cheap bottom shelf adult store product to me. I'd gift my loved ones something like a nice toy or even the pricey Indulge Me Pleasure Set. I would give this to one of my sister as a random surprise though, but not to anybody who may not find this type of product useful or someone who is turned off from sexual products.

Tasty Twist comes in a small tube, similar to a tube of body lotion, only it's very small. As for the samples, they come in your typical tear-to-open sample packets.

The full sized Tasty Twist's tube is only 1.5 fl oz (45mL), but while I was a little surprised, I wasn't disappointed that it didn't come with more since it's not a product I want to use a whole lot and not a product that requires a lot each time you use it. However, I feel the price for it is a bit much considering it's so small and packed with scary ingredients.

The Container

The front of the tube says "Tasty Twist" and "Oral-Gasm Enhancer Balm." It has a little image of a nude cartoon lady, which I believe all of Jelique's products come with. On the bottom front says the flavor.

The back of the tube is where your real information lies -- I don't mean it lies as in not telling the truth, I mean that is where it resides. You have a description of the product, which goes a little somethin' like this:

"Tasty Twist is an incredible edible oral-gasm enhancer that will tickle more than just your taste buds!"

And instructions, "Apply liberally to penis or clitoris, can be used for manual or oral stimulation."

Warnings: If irritation occurs, rinse with cool water and discontinue use. An adult novelty product.

Then, all that's left on the tube is the ingredients and a bar code as well as the "made in USA."

The small bottle means this is easy to hide away in a drawer or your toy box. And of course the non-leakable tube means it can be tossed in your toy box or purse if you have a fun night planned for later. I wouldn't travel with this simply because I just wouldn't feel it necessary to bring a product like this along on a trip, but if you had something special planned, this would be one of the most travel-friendly edible "lubricants" available. I would store in in the bottom of a suitcase or my purse just for discretion, but it's likely it'll be seen if your luggage is searched before leaving, and the tube is not discreet. Whether or not that matters is up to you. You could always transfer a small amount into a small, discreetly labeled travel container.
