System Jo H2O Anal Lube -water based lube with a silky silicone feel!

System Jo H2O Anal Lube is a definite contender for lube of the millennia. It is great for both anal and vaginal use and lasts "you long time". You won't be disappointed with this lube especially for the price. So float that boat.

Use

This lubricant is most obviously meant for use with anal intercourse or masturbation. I have found in my personal experience that this is the perfect lube for my partner and I to use both anally and vaginally. I think this lube would be great for anyone's use. It is slightly liquid and a little goes a long way! The little bit that you do use is a fantastic lubricant to stave off those terrible after sex pains. You can use this anywhere, even in the shower. This product does contain glycerin so if you are allergic then this is not for you. But if you're worried about the glycerin derived from animal fats, then know that System JO uses 100% pure vegetable based pharmaceutical grade glycerin only. Therefore it is safe to use and won't be a cause of any embarrassing problems in your most delicate areas.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The viscosity of this lubricant is that of Johnson and Johnson baby oil or grape seed oil. It will definitely spill if the pop top lid is left open. The lube is very easy to pour and caution should be used when using on a slick floor (because of the ease of slipping and falling) so be very careful! I can not say that enough. I envision that if System Jo changed the viscosity of this product, then every other element of the product would change. I don't want them to change the viscosity. My conclusion using this product is that it is great! Just be aware of the bottle's placement in the heat of the moment.

Taste / Aroma

Jo H2O has a lube smell and taste to it. I personally don't mind that but many people do. It is not too terribly strong of a scent to overwhelm you or your lover. The only thing this smell reminds me of is other lubes, condoms, and sex. Which is good... Great even.

Performance

This product lasts very long depending on the fast and furious action. If you're making love slowly it can last you ages, and your entire evening that's for sure. If you're really bucking and riding em' then you may want to re-apply at some point. I will always use this lube, and buy it as gifts for my interested friends. Just for the fact that it works well in the shower but at the same time is also easy to wash off. I don't have anything to say bad about the product I like the viscosity personally.

Packaging

The product comes in a clear plastic bottle about as tall as a can of Coke. The packaging is not discreet it has "anal personal lubricant" boldly written up and down the side. Well it is a lube and it looks like a lube... so you probably can't leave it out if you have children or a nosy mother in law.

Special Features

This product's most special feature is the fact that it works great and feels like silky silicone lubricant, but is easy to wash off your body, clothing, bed sheets, etc.

Personal comments

If you plan on using this lubricant always be sure to either be in a monogamist relationship, or use condoms and protect yourself. Birth control can help with not getting pregnant, but what's there to help with STI's? Answer: A Condom. System JO H2O is safe to use with latex condoms and toys.

Experience

I have had many, many experiences with this lubricant and all were incredibly pleasurable. You know, It's not really the boat or the float of the ocean... It's how wet it is. Right???
Follow-up commentary
Nothing much has changed since I first wrote this review. I still very much enjoy using System Jo H2O Anal Lubricant, all though I have recently purchased a few lubes that I am trying for a few weeks before I review them. System Jo H2O is a great product at a fair price, and I'm sure I'll be buying more when we finish this bottle.

  • Suggestions for a Toy-friendly, Body-safe Lube?
    • I have a bottle of System JO H2O Anal and after my most recent vacation a part of the inside of the cap seems to be just broken enough for it to leak. I'm trying to decide if I just want to replace it or repackage it into a new bottle. I thought I'd take the opportunity to look at new lubes. I'm looking for something for anal and something for other types of play, hopefully one with as few nasty chemicals as possible that isn't going to damage most toys (silicone and composites, elastomer, and yes, jelly to be specific). What are your favorites for each different kind of play? Or your main stay? I've used a lot of the System JO formulas before and I'm wondering how people who have tried several others like them or if there is something that shows them up for whatever reason.

    • I use Maximus for everything. Works so well and it avoids having to make a lube decision in the heat of play.
