Simply JO H2O was worth the purchase for me. It was my first flavored lube, and I was happy with the experience. The ability to go back to oral after other positions, without a nasty taste, was the biggest reason for this purchase.

Use

This lube is a great foreplay and hand job lube. It's great to be able to change from other positions to oral without having a horrible taste in your mouth. It has a light texture that is perfect for hand jobs. Maximus is too thick and dries quickly when compared to this stuff. This lube is sweet and not too strongly pomegranate flavored. The sweetness stands out, but it is not too extreme. One of the best things about this lube is that the flavor is not overpowering. This is my first experience with flavored lubes, and I would try them again.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This lube was thinner than I expected. It still has some ability to stretch when poured, but I found the thickness to be perfect. It has worked well with my Tenga Flip. It doesn't feel sticky or greasy to me. The container was very easy to open and pour with one hand. So far, it hasn't had any leaks.

Taste / Aroma

I found the taste and smell to be acceptable for a flavored lube. It was not too extreme, which was a concern for me. The smell is a lot stronger than the taste, and I do not have a strong sense of smell. The smell is not bad, but it is not very discreet. The flavor is similar to raspberry.

Performance

So far this lube has worked well, and it lasts. Since it is water based, it cleans up well on fabric and doesn't leave stains. The smell is strong, so washing up afterward is necessary if you are going to go out. The container is great: easy to open with one hand, easy to close, and it has no leaks so far.

Follow-up commentary
The bottle leaked after a little while but only because it was transported in a bag where it wasn't kept standing. This lubricant still feels and smells good, but it does have a hint of a medicinal smell that reminds me of Dimetapp.

  • How do you feel about glycerin/parabens in this lube?
    • Would you try it anyway without any concerns or do you feel a little hesitant to try this?

    • I don't know about the accuracy of the information, but it jives with everything else I've heard. As for that lube, yes. I have tried it and didn't hesitate to do so. I don't really pay much attention to the ingredients, other than to see if there's something that my body might react with. Up to this point, I haven't personally had a problem with glycerin or parabens causing any reaction in my body anywhere, so I'll continue to buy lube that happens to have those ingredients in them. I prefer things without parabens because of all the cancer related talk, but I won't throw it out if it shows up and has that in it. Might not re-purchase, but will at least use.
    • I use that lube all the time, as well as others that contain glycerine and parabens. I have never had any reactions from those ingredients.

    • I really like this lube, I find it lasts a long long time. The only thing I am not keen on is- well two things. It is very sweet, and the scent lasts and lasts and lasts.
