System JO premium lubricant - silicone based lube by System JO - review by Superstitious

First of all let me clarify that I have never tried silicone lubes...I enjoy the easy clean-up of water-based and I just wanted to try silicone before I passed judgement. I find that while JO's premium lube may not be for me, it is still an excellent choice of lubes.

This lube is a great addition to any couple's stash of sex supplies. It can be used for anal, vaginal, and solo toy use (non-silicone toys only!). Unlike water-based lube, JO premium silicone lube won't wash away in the shower or tub, allowing couples to move their sexy time into the shower! It is amazingly long-lasting and compatible with latex condoms.

JO premium is a high quality, safe product; it contains no L-Arginine, petro-chemicals, or parabens.

Keep in mind that I have never tried any other silicone-based lubes, but I found this lube to feel divine. It was smooth, silky, warm, and seemed to sink into my hands. It is thick enough to remain in place, but still liquidy enough to apply easily.

I wish the bottle I received had a pump spout as my husband kept spilling the snap-top. This lube felt neither sticky, nor greasy. Just slippery. I tend to become sore during and after sex and noticed that my skin was in much better shape after using this lube.

Upon opening this bottle I detected absolutely no smell, aroma, or odor. I even tasted it, aside from an awkward, slippery feeling in my mouth, I tasted nothing, which was surprising.

This lube lasts a long time. My husband and I had vigorous sex for almost 30 minutes without needing a single re-application. I have unusually sensitive skin and usually re-apply water based lube at least two times during sex. If you hate re-applying, then this lube will be fantastic for you. I don't do anal, but can imagine that it would hold up much better than water-based does.

The lube’s longevity is also my biggest problem; I hate having to scrub it all off after sex, orgasms, and the intense tired feeling I have post-coitus. Dragging myself to the shower to get cleaned up drove me crazy, my husband also didn’t like the feeling of the lube on his hands after application and got it all over the bed. All over.

This leads me to my next problem with silicone based lubes; the staining. Like an amateur, I didn’t put down a towel or anything over my nice sheets before getting started. Needless to say, my beautiful beige sheets had hand and possibly ass shaped stains. I washed them, but the stains remain.

One more caveat to keep in mind regarding this and all silicone-based lubes. You must be very careful not to use it alongside or on your silicone toys as it will degrade the material. For me, this was a huge problem as all of my favorite toys are high-quality silicone. I literally had to cover up my clit vibe with a plastic baggy which made all this weird crinkly noise during sex.

My JO premium silicone-based lube arrived in a small vertical container with classic black lettering displaying the name of the lube. It has some simple directions and warnings about not using the lubricant with silicone toys. The ingredients are: cyclopentasiloxane, cyclotetrasiloxane, dimethiconol, and dimethicone. The package warns against using the product if you develop any rashes or reactions.
