The Best Flavored Lube Out There

Sliquid Swirl is a safe, water based lubricant that is flavoured, but fine to use internally as well, so it can be enjoyed with a partner or solo. Since the lube is natural, it can serve many purposes, and the consistency is not extremely thin, making this a true pleasure to use. With six different flavors to choose from, there is bound to be one that peaks your interest.

Use

Sliquid Swirl is a water based lubricant which comes in a variety of fantastic flavors. I have the Strawberry pomegranate, but it also comes in Blue raspberry, Green apple, Cherry / vanilla, Pink lemonade, and Pina colada.

This lube is great for oral, but it can also be used vaginally since it is glycerine and paraben free. Most flavoured lubricants are loaded with glycerine, and I don’t have reactions to glycerine, but other flavoured products containing glycerine make me nervous about using them internally.

Ingredients: Purified water, plant cellulose from cotton, cyamopsis (guar conditioners), strawberry and pomegranate flavoring, aspartame, potassium sorbate, citric acid.

Since it is water based, it is latex friendly, and compatible with all toy materials. It is also 100% vegan, and not tested on animals.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This lube is surprisingly thick. I was expecting a typical runny, thin as juice, lube, but the consistency is very nice. Not thick enough for anal use, but not likely to drip everywhere unless you pour too much out of the bottle. It mimics my own natural lubrication very well. It is very slick, so it works well vaginally, but will not last very long for oral play.

It doesn’t become sticky when it dries, but sometimes it leaves behind a filmy residue. The residue can be washed off with little effort, so I don’t see it as a big deal.

Taste / Aroma

The scent and taste are very pleasant. It smells sweet, but the aroma is very light. I can only taste the strawberry which doesn’t bother me, but if you like pomegranate, you probably won’t be able to taste it either. It tastes like lightly flavored strawberry candy, but not in that horrible, over sugared way. The flavor doesn't last very long, so you'll probably want to reapply it.

Performance

Swirl doesn’t last as long as other water based lubricants I have, however I feel the benefits outweigh the disadvantages. This lube is very versatile for a flavoured lubricant. Not very many are safe to use internally, however this one is. Other flavoured lubes contain many ingredients and preservatives that end up making them taste horrible, but Swirl uses natural ingredients. Swirl is a good lubricant to use anywhere on the body, which is incredibly useful because you don’t have to keep changing lubricants for other purposes. This one has you covered.

Packaging

The bottle arrives wrapped in a plastic bag, presumably to prevent any spills, although there is a seal located under the cap, so it shouldn’t leak. The bottle contains 4.2 oz., so depending on how much you like your flavoured lube, it should last a while.

If you left the bottle out, people will just think it is hand lotion unless they look closely at it. The label lists all the information you need to know, and it also adds that it is “formulated to last longer than most Hollywood marriages,” which isn’t entirely true, but it is a rather funny statement.

Experience

I mainly use this for vaginal lubrication, which gives me a good kick start for me to start providing my own lubrication. I have a horrible habbit of biting my nails, so more often then not, I end up tasting left over lube on my fingers. Thank goodness Sliquid Swirl doesn’t make me gag. I’ve tried other flavoured lubes that taste absolutely nothing like they were supposed to. The flavour of the strawberry pomegranate is not extremely artificial, and leaves no weird aftertaste. I wish the bottle was a little larger because I am going through it rather quickly, but I guess this also gives me the opportunity to be able to try another flavour when this runs out. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a flavoured lube that is especially handy for women.
Follow-up commentary
I probably won't get this again, but it was definitely good while it lasted. The flavor was very sweet so be prepared for that. I finished it up so quickly because I froze it in a circular silicone mold which made it easier to put the lube where I wanted when it was in a solid state.

  • Sliquid Swirl Lubricant
    • Just wondering if anyone knows how these lubricants work for someone who is really sensitive to lubricants? I've only tried one Sliquid product previously, but I really liked it, so just wondering!
    • It depends, what do you mean by sensitive? Are there certain items in a lubricant that cause you to itch, come out in a rash, or what? Hard to know unless you give us more detail.
    • To be honest, I don't really know what the problem is. I usually have no luck with any lubricants that are warming, cooling, tingling etc. They cause a lot of burning and itching. I just can't stand them! I haven't really tried any flavored lubes, because I didn't want to risk it. I've tried the organics line of the sliquid and I really like them (and they don't cause any discomfort), so I was debating about trying one of their flavored ones. Just to give it a go and see if it works.
