The price is right...for getting gunked up

This is a great lube for taking a rectal temperature or giving a suppository. Wait, that's not what you are wanting to do? Well in that case, spend a few extra dollars and get something that won't leave your vagina clogged and sticky. If you don't like having to take a shower immediately after sex to get rid of gunk build up, then just move right past this product!

Use

This is your general, run of the mill water-based lubricant. It can be used for intercourse or toy play. It can also be used to stave off vaginal dryness in general and lubricate rectal thermometers, enemas, or other types of devices that are made to be inserted into the body.

Anyone can use this product. It is simple and easy to use. However, as the box warns, this is not a contraceptive and does not contain any kind of spermicide. This product will NOT guard against pregnancy or STI's.

If you have an issue with parabens and chemicals of a preservative nature then you'd be better off searching for a more expensive and organically made product.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The texture is smooth starting out. It is thicker than water or antibacterial gel, but it is not as thick as actual jelly (the kind you'd put on a sandwich). It comes out of the tube easily and it is easy to spread. During use it does tend to get stuck around the entrance of the vagina and around the base of the penis. It sort of gums it up, if you will. The more thrusting that occurs the more it will collect and it does become very sticky. When this occurs it will most likely need to be reapplied if you require constant moisture from man made lubricant.

When I simply squeeze a bit onto my finger and rub it around it is very smooth and not sticky at all. It does feel a bit greasy, but once I wipe it off there is no residue at all. However, during sex; especially if you use alot, it will get quite sticky and gummy. In that case clean up requires more. If you don't like to or don't have time to take a shower right after sex, then this probably isn't the lube for you.

Taste / Aroma

It has a very mild scent. Honestly, it smells like unscented lotion. I am led to believe that it is probably the preservative in it that gives it that smell. It is not an offensive smell, one might even say it borders on pleasant.

I did not taste this lube.

Performance

As mentioned before, the more of it you use and the longer it is used during sex, the more messy it becomes. And quite difficult to clean up. A shower would be required, and most likely a good bit of scrubbing.

If it is used for something as simple as taking a rectal temperature then you wouldn't need much at all and clean up would be quick and easy.

The price is great, and if you don't mind reapplying during long sessions (and don't forget you'll have to shower), then it is a good choice.
    • Dries up too fast
    • Gets sticky
    • Needs to be washed off with soap and water

Packaging

The packaging is a simple white box. It states that is is safe, gentle and water based. A warning tells you to keep it away from your eyes and ears.
    • Recyclable
    • Travel friendly

Experience

We rarely need to use lube, as 9 times out of 10 my body does it for me. For a few years, before we knew there were other options, we always had a tube of this around. I always got a bit annoyed at the fact that my vagina was all gummed up with the lube after we'd had sex with it. And if either of you have pubic hair it can really get gunky with this lube!

Now I only have it around because I have kids and the pediatrician says it is good to use for rectal temperature taking and suppositories. There are other lubes for sex out there that aren't as much work.
