Very nice lube, better than the real thing!
Perfect for vegans, but great for the rest of us too! Love the silky feel, as well as the fact that it doesn't coat the skin, leaving a greasy or oily feeling. Plus, a little goes a long way!Published: April 2, 2011
Pros:
Not greasy or oily, a little goes a long way, and it's vegan friendly!
Cons:
none

This is still my go-to lube, especially when I'm on my webcam. It's really great, and feels very natural. Plus, it's super easy to clean up! Two thumbs up in my book!

Lies!!

I was about to get the Sliquid silk organics over the regular Sliquid organics...until I stumbled across a review that says that it's not entirely water-based. It's actually a water-silicone hybrid lube, but Eden has it listed solely as a water-based lube. I was intending to purchase it to use with my silicone toys (which has the possibility of warping the silicone toys), so I'm very grateful that someone thought to post the truth about this lube in their review.

I've noticed this, too. As far as I've know, the only hybrid lube that is listed as "silicone/water" is Wet Synergy. Anybody know why this is?
-
It says the base is silicone / water on the product page - or do you mean it's listed that way somewhere else?

Sliquids shelf life?
-
Does anybody know what the shelf life on this would be? I'm wondering if it would be less than other lubes because of all the natural ingredients it contains. Any info on this or other natural lubes would be appreciated. Thanks!

I prefer the Sliquid organics line myself, but I don't know the shelf life. I'd love to know as well

Why is it called silk?
-
just wondering why it is called silk? I assume there is not silk involved since this is a vegan product. right? I have seen some cosmetics "infused with real silk" so the name is throwing me off. Just wanted reassurance

I'm going to answer assuming your question is serious.
If you read the product description, it states "Natural creamy and silky, non-sticky texture." The name "Silk" is referring to the texture of the lubricant, meaning it is smooth as in "smooth as silk." -

like I said. just wanting reassurance. thanks.

I'm glad I could help, and you enjoyed my review!
Good review!
Thanks so much
Great review!
Thanks!
This is a great review, really detailed! Sounds like a great lube You should be aware though that even though this is listed as water-based lube, it does contain dimethicone, so technically it's a hybrid lube. Other reviewers have said that they didn't notice problems when using it with silicone toys, but it still might be a good idea to spot test it thanks again!
Thank you for the review, nice to know it lasts a long time mixed with personal lubrication!
great review
