Very nice lube, better than the real thing!

Perfect for vegans, but great for the rest of us too! Love the silky feel, as well as the fact that it doesn't coat the skin, leaving a greasy or oily feeling. Plus, a little goes a long way!

Use

Sliquid Organics Silk lube is wonderful. It can be used when you're solo playing with your toys, or it can be used when you're with your partner and need a little extra moisture. I find it to be wonderful for both vaginal and anal penetration, giving that little extra something to get things inside. It's water-based, so it's safe for use with silicone toys. It is also vegan-friendly and made with organic ingredients for a special niche appeal. The product page contains a list of all the ingredients and can be found here

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This lube is very slippery. I find it to look much like ejaculate, but it doesn't feel quite the same. It doesn't get sticky, but does only last for a certain amount of time. It comes out of the bottle easily, although it can build up a bit in the spout, making it necessary to occasionally clean it out. I love that this lube doesn't leave me feeling greasy or sticky at all. When I'm finished, I don't even feel as though I have used a lubricant at all.

Taste / Aroma

Sliquids Organic Silk doesn't have much of a scent to it, just a slight floral background if you rub it on your hands. It doesn't have a taste of any sort. It tends to simply taste like whatever it has been applied to. It's not a lube that is meant for its taste or smell, but it also doesn't smell or taste unpleasant.
    • Light smell
    • No taste
    • Smells good

Performance

A little goes a long way with this lubricant. A small amount is all you need. However, if you're involved in an extended session, more may be needed periodically, but that's entirely up to personal taste. There really isn't a need to clean this lube off of the skin after use, as it doesn't leave any sort of oily or greasy residue.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural

Packaging

The packaging is fairly simple, with a lid that can easily be opened with one hand while in the moment. The bottle itself is aesthetically pleasing, with a background floral design on the label. I leave it sitting on my nightstand, and don't find it to be an eyesore in any way. It is easy to travel with this item, as the lid doesn't tend to leak. If you're not careful to wipe off the spout each time you use it though, it can acquire a bit of dried buildup which needs to be cleaned out.
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Easy to use / dispense

Experience

As a web cam model, I tend to be online pleasuring myself for extended periods of time, which can eventually cause some dryness. This lube is wonderful in that a tiny bit of it will last me for about an hour, without feeling the need to use more. I also enjoy not feeling the need to shower immediately after using this lube.
Follow-up commentary
This is still my go-to lube, especially when I'm on my webcam. It's really great, and feels very natural. Plus, it's super easy to clean up! Two thumbs up in my book!

This is a great review, really detailed! Sounds like a great lube You should be aware though that even though this is listed as water-based lube, it does contain dimethicone, so technically it's a hybrid lube. Other reviewers have said that they didn't notice problems when using it with silicone toys, but it still might be a good idea to spot test it thanks again!

  • Lies!!
    • I was about to get the Sliquid silk organics over the regular Sliquid organics...until I stumbled across a review that says that it's not entirely water-based. It's actually a water-silicone hybrid lube, but Eden has it listed solely as a water-based lube. I was intending to purchase it to use with my silicone toys (which has the possibility of warping the silicone toys), so I'm very grateful that someone thought to post the truth about this lube in their review.
    • I've noticed this, too. As far as I've know, the only hybrid lube that is listed as "silicone/water" is Wet Synergy. Anybody know why this is?
    • It says the base is silicone / water on the product page - or do you mean it's listed that way somewhere else?

  • Sliquids shelf life?
    • Does anybody know what the shelf life on this would be? I'm wondering if it would be less than other lubes because of all the natural ingredients it contains. Any info on this or other natural lubes would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'd like to know what it is as well.
    • I prefer the Sliquid organics line myself, but I don't know the shelf life. I'd love to know as well

  • Why is it called silk?
    • just wondering why it is called silk? I assume there is not silk involved since this is a vegan product. right? I have seen some cosmetics "infused with real silk" so the name is throwing me off. Just wanted reassurance
    • I'm going to answer assuming your question is serious.

If you read the product description, it states "Natural creamy and silky, non-sticky texture." The name "Silk" is referring to the texture of the lubricant, meaning it is smooth as in "smooth as silk."

when you have people try to sabotage you, it is not unreasonable to get paranoid. I know it says vegan, but so have lots of things that have said vegan but then were not.

like I said. just wanting reassurance. thanks.
