Warming up the holidays

One of the very few warming silicone based lubricants, System Jo Warming Silicone is also of the few non menthol based lubricants. Using peppermint essential oil as a warming agent, the smell of peppermint and its tingling effects are noticeable.

System Jo silicone warming lubricant is an instant hit to me. For those sensitive to menthol, this product won't cause harm. Unlike most warming lubricants, System Jo's uses peppermint essential oils as a warming agent. The smell of peppermint is noticeable when opening the bottle, as well as the feel being soft and silky. Cheaper silicone lubricants have an almost greasy feel to them, but I didn't notice that at all. I took this lube on vacation with me when I was with my boyfriend. He loved the feel of it when it was rubbed on him as a muscle relaxing body massage.

Internally, the lubricant did not agree with him, it was a little too strong, but he loved it when he used it on me. The warming feeling spread very quickly though my body and I couldn't get enough of it. We tried using it in the pool, and like any good lubricant, it withheld water and let our intimacy soar to new heights! Because I am a guy, I can say that anally, this lubricant did work well for me, the warming effect helped relax my muscles to better support intimacy. Vaginally I am at a bit of a loss. The coworkers of mine that have used it had rather good things to say about it, they were allergic to menthol so this was the only company they could really use.

Though typical, this is a necessary warning with any silicone lubricant: DON'T USE SILICONE LUBE ON SILICONE TOYS! Typically, silicone lubricant will break down silicone toys. Because silicone spreads so quickly over skin, only a few drops are needed, so even a small bottle should last you quite a while. Try not to use excessive amounts when on your bed unless having a towel or something like the Liberator Throe because it will stain sheets. If you spill any on the floor, clean it up immediately so as not to have any accidents, and finally: BE CAREFUL IN THE SHOWER!
Experience
I used this by myself the first night I bought it, the smell of peppermint was very soothing for me, and it left a rather nice tingling feeling on my member. I took it on vacation with me when i went to meet my boyfriend, he loved the Warming feeling when he did stuff to me, but it was a bit too strong for him to take. It makes a great back rub because of the warming acting as a muscle relaxant.

Hrm, might have to give this one a try. I like the idea of a peppermint-based product, and a silicone warming lube just sounds like fun!

Ick. I am not a fan of mint of any kind. But, I'm glad you liked it! Is menthol what typically causes most warming lubes to burn?
  • Contributor: Avery Dragon
@ Adriana Ravenlust. It really depends on which brand you're using. If your sensitive at all down there, cheaper brands of lubricant (i.e. KY, Wet, Astroglide, etc) can give that sort of burning feeling whether they're warming or not. This is because of the glycol. As for warming lubricants, most do use menthol. Some use medical grade, which is much stronger, others use food grade, which is generally a softer warming. In my experience, the warming lubricant from Elbow Grease/Encounter has an almost burning sensation, i feel that they may use medical grade. Sliquid uses a food based, so their warming isn't quite as intense.

Fun fact: Hot Pink, from the Pink/Gun Oil line, uses for lack of better terming, anti-freeze, as the warming agent. obviously, there is a slight molecular difference or else it would hurt you terribly, but just the slightest friction with it does make it get hot very quickly. I don't like Hot Pink as a warming lubricant.
