Warming, What Warming?

Zero Tolerance introduces a warming lube specially formulated for use with masturbation sleeves. I found the warming sensation to be nearly non-existent. It is relatively thick and contains vegetable glycerin, which makes the lube somewhat water-resistant. However, this also means that it may not be good to use with masturbators that are not supposed to be cleaned with soap (e.g. Fleshlights). My only other issue with this lube is that it required a lot of reapplication.

Use

Zero Tolerance has introduced a warming lubricant specifically designed for use with masturbation sleeves. That means it is marketed to men, but as long as you don't have problems with the ingredients you ladies can use it as well. So, really this lube does not need to be reserved exclusively for masturbation sessions. It can be used for other sexual activities as well. As for actual use, open the bottle put it where you want it and do what you want to do with it. I didn't have any problems with irritation from the lube and it definitely tends to make thing more slippery.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The initial feel of Zero Tolerance's Warming Masturbator Lube is very silky. Its ingredient list has a couple of thickeners. It is somewhat thicker than some of the lubes I have experience with, but is not as thick as some other lubes I use on a regular basis (Maximus and Ride H2O); so, it sits in the middle of the field in the thickness arena. While using it with a sleeve, I found myself feeling the need to apply more and more. It didn't feel like it was getting sticky, I felt that there wasn't enough of it, but that may have had as much to do with the toy as the lube itself. It does feel a little oily to me, even though there are no oils in it.

Taste / Aroma

I don't make a habit out of tasting my lubes, but do often find myself in contact with them if we switch to a 69 position after other warm up activities so it does eventually happen. As far as this Warming Masturbation Lube goes, it has an almost sweet aroma to it. I don't find it unpleasant at all. The taste is not quite so good. The taste isn't unpleasant as you can detect that same sweetness that is found in the smell, but there is a little bit of tingle to it that is a little distracting. It has almost a medicine-like taste, but it is not as bad as some other lubes I have encountered. I think it could certainly be ignored if your focus was elsewhere, like it normally is in the heat of the moment.

Performance

I think that often a lot about a lube's performance can be determined from its ingredients.

The ingredients of this Warming Masturbation Lube are: pure natural vegetable glycerin (thickener), purified water, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (thickener), mentha piperita (warming agent), methyl paraben (preservative), propyl paraben (preservative).

First off, water based lubes normally have water as their first ingredient, so it is interesting that vegetable glycerin heads this list. Also, the third ingredient is also a thickener. I would think these two facts would indicate an extremely thick lube, but that is not the case here. It is thick, but it isn't the thickest. The mentha warming agent comes next, but it really doesn't seem to have much warming impact but may explain the odor and taste attributes of the lube. The final two ingredients are paraben preservatives, which are common in lubes and cosmetics.

All in all, a relatively short ingredient list, so in that area it is good, but it isn't nearly as thick or as much warming as I would expect based on the ingredients. Unfortunately, it seemed like I needed quite a bit of it during my use as well.

Packaging

The lid for this lubricant is pretty creative. The tip unscrews partially to allow for controlled flow without taking the lid off completely. Although it isn't the best dispensing method I have come across, it is pretty good and certainly better than full lid removal.

The package for this lube has a picture of a volcano on the front, which I imagine is supposed to indicate the warming properties. The label contains a series of claims including "water based", "feels silky smooth", "condom safe", "cleans easily", "safe for use with partner", and "safe for all toys". I don't have a problem with most of the statements, but I'm not sure why it says it "cleans easily", and then in the directions, it states to wash with soap and water. This leads me to the other issue of "safe for all toys". If it needs to be cleaned with soap and water; there are some toys that are not supposed to be cleaned with soap (Fleshlights, for example), which it would not be safe to use it with. I guess it just seems like there is contradictory information there.
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Easy to use / dispense

Experience

I happened to get a Culo Amiga Ass Palm Pal to review and was heading out of town for a few days right around the same time as I got this lube. I thought it was a perfect opportunity to give the Warming Masturbation Lube a shot. I packed both items and headed out of town. The first night in the hotel room I pulled the items out of my bag and gave it a go. Maybe it's more the UR3 of the Palm Pal than it is this lube, but it just seemed like I couldn't get enough of this stuff on there. I haven't had the same problem with Maximus and another UR3 sleeve, so I'm not sure. When I sampled the Warming Masturbation Lube since then, I haven't noticed as much of an issue; but, if it is supposed to work well with all toys, I would expect not to have to use a ton to make things feel good. I also don't really notice the warming sensation at all.
