Yeah Baby!
I used to use a very popular ID lubricant and always wished for something better. When I found Sliquid's line of products, I never looked back. This is really a great formula for all manner of play. I especially love this formula while using my TPR toys.Published: August 7, 2011
Pros:
Vegan Formula, Slick, No Odor or Fragrance
Cons:
Bottle Isn't Nearly Big Enough!
My very first Sliquid product was the Sliquid Sea water-based lubricant. I fell in love immediately and swore I would never use a different brand of lubricant again. When I ran out, I rushed to Eden to place an order for more and was not surprised to find it was temporarily sold out. I didn't want to wait for it to come back in stock, so I ordered the Sliquid Sassy formula.
Again, I was not at all surprised to see that this formula was very similar to the Sliquid Sea. It is slick without being sticky. When it dries on toys or skin, it has an almost powder-like feeling to it. It just feels very soft. There's no immediate rush to get up and wipe down toys or pleasure zones for fear of them sticking or staining surfaces.
This specific formula is made for anal play. I do find that it lasts a little bit longer than other lubricants, but truth be told there isn't going to be a water-based formula that will last an entire play session without having to reapply at least once. Maybe the gel formulas do, but I haven't tried those yet.
This formula is literally free of fragrance and taste. Sliquid's products are guaranteed to always be free of DEA, glycerin, gluten, glycerol, parabens, sorbitol, glycol, sulphates, PEG and propylene glycol. It is 100% Vegan friendly.
Ingredient List:
- Purified Water
- Plant Cellulose (from Cotton)
- Cyamopsis (Guar Conditioner)
- Potassium Sorbate
- Citric Acid
What's the difference between potassium sorbate and sorbitol? Well, potassium sorbate is a chemical used to prevent mold and bacteria from growing on or in a wide variety of products, including some healthcare supplies. Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol found in apples, peaches, pears and prunes. It has a natural laxative effect for most people and has been approved for use for elderly patients. It is also used to distinguish the E. coli bacterium from other bacteria. E. coli does not flourish when placed in a petri dish with sorbitol.
Sliquid Sassy can be used with all toy and condom materials. A wet-wipe or damp towel can be used for a quick clean-up or just hop in the shower to remove the excess.
For a little extra fun, add a small amount of peppermint oil to a separate portion for divine massages! My favorite place to use this is on my feet. It smells wonderful and it leaves the skin baby soft.

Follow-up commentary

It's still one of my favorite lubes on the market. I haven't had any sensitivty or infections since we switched to the Sliquid line in general. We use this once or twice a week and still have more than half a bottle left.
