Black and pink fishnet bikini top and skirt set - bra and panty set discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Red Vinyl Kitty

As a lover of fishnet, I loved the look of this one from first sight. When it arrived, I was so excited to get it. Unfortunately, the proportions of this one are totally off, so most people will not be able to enjoy both the top and the bottom.

I'm 5'2" short, weigh about 145 pounds, have a 34D bust, a 33 waist, and a 40 hip. I ordered this set in a ML (it only comes in SM or ML), and according to the size chart, the only part of this outfit which might have been a tight squeeze was the waist (with a max of 29"). Since the garment is mostly fishnet which is typically stretchy, I figured I would give this piece a shot.

THE BRA:



The top is an absolute joke. It is really pretty looking, but it's nowhere near being able to fit a C cup, or a 38" bust. I knew I was a D cup, so there might be cup spillage, but I highly doubt anyone bigger than an A (maybe a smallish B) would fit into this. It's just teensy-weensy, and it doesn't have much stretch in the actual cups. The triangle portion of this is 4" wide, and 5" tall, but like I said - there is no stretch to it at all. I could tie the strings to get the bra on, but the cups just looked beyond silly. The strings are 47" long (so they should fit a lot of people, just so long as you have A cup breasts). The strings which tie behind your neck are 18" long, and have a bit of stretch to them. There are 26 studs on the pink string part of the bra, all the way around the bust (excluding the bottom).

THE SKIRT:



The skirt is cute, and definitely the best part of the outfit. It's supposed to fit a 40" hip (which is my measurement exactly), but it wound up being a little bit tight. I would recommend the skirt for a max 38" hip, instead. At its smallest, it will fit a 28" hip (this one is worn low). It has a lot of stretch to it.

I was definitely surprised by the quality of the skirt. It doesn't look like it would last through much online, but in person it is definitely apparent how well made it is. I have not snagged or torn it, and the fishnets are holding strong. There are 40 studs that decorate the two rows of pink ribbon on the top.



The bottom of the skirt has four garter clips attached. They are plastic, but they are not flimsy like some garters can be. I find that they do a great job holding up my stockings, and they are super sexy.

WASHING:

The garment is made of 63% nylon, and 37% polyester. The fishnets have bigger holes than typical fishnet stockings or clothing I've seen. The tag says to hand wash warm, and normally I completely ignore the tag and just toss my lingerie in a lingerie bag, but I didn't this time. Unfortunately those studs that decorate the hip of the garment as well as the bra are the only really "shoddy" craftsmanship about the piece. They are glued on, and badly at that. Some of them are completely off center, and some of them have fallen off. I've taken hot glue to a couple of them, but sometimes they fall off when I don't notice, so I've lost a couple of them. I think that the washing machine would tear these off in a heart beat. So, hand wash and drip dry, please.

Master and me do like the look of the skirt a lot, but we can't enjoy the bra at all, which is a shame. The skirt is slightly fluffy, and makes me feel girly and sexy, I just wish it stretched to a 40" hip like it says in the size chart. Overall, this is a fun bedroom piece, but the top and bottom are such completely different sizes that I'm not entirely sure too many people will have the right proportions for it.

You can totally wear the skirt during sex, it is short enough that it doesn't get in the way of penetration. The length of the skirt is 8", and it didn't cover my bum all the way.

THE PACKAGING:

The packaging is not discreet, but neither is it inappropriate. It just has a model on it wearing the outfit. It's obviously lingerie, but it isn't explicit. Also, I had a heck of a time figuring out how to open it before I realized you open it up from the bottom.

I like it less.

Honestly, I do think this is a pretty set, but the little studs have been falling off of it more and more lately. I have designated this as an outfit for a stuffed dragon I have, now. He gets more use out of it than I did, anyway.
