A beautiful cincher

This product really had nothing wrong with it. It is a lovely material, a great design and well made. But due to limited sizes on Eden, it didn't work out for us. We might have been able to make the small work with longer laces, but then the garters wouldn't have been at the right location.

Intro
When all these new wetlook pieces came out a few months ago, I knew I had to order one of them quickly. A waist cincher is something that my wife doesn't have, so I figured this one would be a great one to order. I put in for my free monthly product, and it was approved. This was great because the only other time I tried for a lingerie review it was denied. I waited patiently, and within just a few days it had arrived. I love living in the same state as Eden!

Packaging
The waist cincher arrived in a fairly small brown box from Eden, and it was hanging from a plastic Coquette hanger, and wrapped in plastic. The plastic opened from the bottom by sticky tape, and the beautiful waist cincher was freed! The waist cincher was slightly bent from being in the small box, but I hung it from the door for a few days and it straightened itself out nicely.

Design
This is a wetlook item, that is similar to vinyl or latex, but a lot cheaper. While it is fairly close to the look of vinyl, it doesn't quite match up, so do not try to pair this with a vinyl item thinking it will be a match. We have tried this with the wetlook booty shorts and a vinyl corset, and it didn't look right.

A cincher is similar to a corset, but goes under the bust, showing off the breasts. I was greatly looking forward to seeing my wife in this, and she seemed excited as well when I showed her. This cincher is different from the two other corsets we have, as one of those has traditional bra hooks in the front, and the other has a zipper. This one has what's called a busk closure, where one side is a metal looking ball, and the other a larger triangular shape that has to be pulled over, then released to secure it. This makes for a good secure fit, but I have heard it is difficult to put on and take off by yourself, once it is cinched in tightly. I have also read on other corsets with a busk closure that it can cut your finger. This cincher has plastic boning, as I experienced and saw when I took it out of its box. The plastic allows for more flexibility and comfort while wearing, but it also doesn't cinch as well, since your body's shape can win out against the weak plastic.

The cincher has its laces in the back, with it being one solid piece, and the bow being tied in the middle. There are also 6 garters included, with 2 in the front, 2 on the side, and 2 on the rear. This was another appealing feature of this cincher, and I was looking forward to seeing it with stockings. When my wife went to put it on, I also requested the wetlook stockings that we have.

Fit
For some reason, Eden only got a few of the sizes that the cincher is offered in in stock; them being S, XL, and 1X/2X. My wife has fit in S Coquette items before, and she fit the size guide for a S, so that is what I placed the order for. I know that my wife has a slightly larger rib cage for her size, but I figured with the laces, especially how much lace is shown on the model, that this would not be a problem. When we went to place the cincher on her, the laces were pulled fully tight, so we knew we would have to start undoing them, and we did. We pulled until it was about a 2 inch gap, and then tried to place it on her. No dice! Ok, we will pull it out some more. Nope! Alright, now we will pull it out all of the way, and we had success! We got the top busk hooked, and that was it. Damn!

Now staring at the cincher, we tried to figure out what to do next. Do we undo a few of the holes on the back to give us some more lace, or do we exchange it. We eventually settled on exchanging it, and we gave up for the time being.
Experience
Care and Maintenance
The small included label that was pinned to the cincher had a few different images of the cincher, along with 6 symbols for care instructions. I took those symbols to mean hand wash, no machine wash, no iron, no dryer, and I believe 2 recycling symbols. If we kept this, we would definitely just hand wash it, and hang it to dry. Please do not wring it out.

Conclusion
Unfortunately, over probably a few reasons, we never got it exchanged. When I went online to print the free shipping return label, it processed this as a return, and not an exchange. And since they didn't have the size we wanted listed, I just wrote a note asking for the M, or maybe a different product from my free monthly review item. I asked them to message me with a decision, and got nothing back in return. That was fine with me though, since my wife didn't love the item that much it seemed after trying it on, and she has been getting a little sick of lingerie recently. I was going to just move on and wait for my next monthly item, but the system is saying that I have to write the review for the item. I wasn't planning on doing this, but I guess my review can still contribute some.
Follow-up commentary
I still like the look and design of this piece just as much as when I got it a few months ago, except that it didn't fit, and because Eden didn't carry the full range of sizes, my wife was never able to wear this. This was disappointing, since it is a nice looking piece, which she doesn't have something similar to. Now after having received and reviewed a bustier from Coquette, I have been able to confirm that the wetlook waistcincher was simply the wrong size, and not something abnormally small.

Thanks for the review. Just curious what size your wife is? In other words, do these run small (seems like it from your review)?

Thanks for the great review. This has been on our wishlist for awhile and now, when it FINALLY came back in stock today, I was all set to order it...but my wife wears a M in Coquette; I'm pretty sure this will NOT fit her...which sucks, but I'm glad I read your review BEFORE having to go through that heartache.
