Chapel of love slip dress - chemise discontinued by Escante - review by Pete's Princess

My husband and I were excited about this slip dress. I tend to choose black or pink lingerie, so white was a bit of a change for me. We also liked the lace and blue ribbon details. This is a wonderful piece of lingerie, but it just was not for me for several reasons.

The main problem for me, which may be a blessing for others, is the long torso. I am average height, 5'5". The drop waist back has a very cute blue ribbon lace up holding the area, that is meant to cover your bottom, together. For me, the top fell about mid-butt, and hung below my bottom. If I were taller, this would have fallen just right.

I ordered a size large. The top was a bit small for my D cup breasts. It is not super small, but it is snug. I do spill out the top a bit. Being a D cup is a bit hit or miss with Escante. The other problem for me, with the cups is the lack of support. The material is light, and it does not offer much support. The good thing is that the material is super stretchy. This allows it to work well for anyone, from a B to a small D. If you are a DD or larger, this will not work for you.

The quality is great. Although it is very light and thin, it is durable. The slip is very well made. The sewing is symmetrical. The lace is super soft and stretchy. It is very comfortable. When it arrived, it was a bit more see through than I thought it would be. This does reveal any and all body flaws. If your tummy is a bit saggy, then this will show it off in an unflattering way.

The lightweight material does make it great for travel. It does not take up much space. Mine was tightly packed in the box when it arrived. It came out with no wrinkles, and it was ready for action.

The g-string is made of the mesh material; it does not have any lace detailing. That was a bit of a disappointment, but then I did not buy it for the g-string.

As with all Escante items, both the slip and g-string have huge care tags. You need to cut out the tags before wearing. It is made of 91% Nylon and 9% Elastane exclusive of decoration. It is made in Mexico.

The care instructions are:
Hand wash cold water. Wash separately.
Only use non-chlorine bleach, when needed.
Do not wring or twist.
Line Dry.
Iron low temperature if necessary.

This is one item that was sent back after I completed the review. It was a horrible fit for my body type. I did love it on the model, who is apparently tall enough to carry it off.
