4pc hot pants with gloves set - bra and panty set discontinued by Escante - review by Breas

The 4-Piece Hot Pants Set With Gloves by Escante is only available in one-size-fits-most. I’m a size extra large, but can sometimes squeeze myself into the OSFM items. I purchased this item because I just love the look of it on the model in the stock photo, and figured for the low price, it was worth a shot.

The outfit arrived a cardboard box package. The front of the packaging has the product name, company name, size, and a photo of a model wearing the outfit. The back of the packaging states the same information as the front as well as the included contents, care instructions, and a back view of the model wearing the outfit. On the back of the packaging it says that the OSFM size is best for those in the weight bracket of 90-160lbs.



Inside of the cardboard packaging, the outfit is in a clear plastic bag. I don’t find the cardboard packaging to be best for storage, but you could use it if you prefer. I like to keep this outfit in my lingerie drawer.

The outfit consists of 4 pieces; the bra, the fishnet overtop, the shorts, and a pair of fishnet gloves. The shorts and bra are 100% polyester. The straps on the shorts and bra are stretchy elastic. The polyester material does have a bit of stretch to it as well. The fishnet overtop and gloves are 100% nylon and are very stretchy.

Gloves
Length unstretched (from top band to finger hole at bottom): 10 ½ inches
Length stretched as much as I could: 19 inches
Width of band at top of glove unstretched: 4 inches
Width of band at top of glove stretched as much as I could: 7 ¼ inches

Bra
Length of neck straps: 17 ½ inches each
Length of back straps: 17 ½ inches each
Cup length: 5 inches
Cup width: 5 inches

Overtop
Length of top (taken down centre back of top): 14 inches
Width of top (taken at bottom of top): 11 inches

Shorts
Waistband unstretched: 13 inches
Waistband stretched as much as I could: 20 inches
Widest part of material that covers your bum: 9 inches
Length of entire shorts (from top front to top back): 15 inches

The gloves are fishnet with a circular band at the bottom of the glove for your middle finger. The band for your finger is elastic. The band at the top of the glove is also an elastic band. The gloves can reach my elbows no problem and are quite comfortable when worn. The only issue with the gloves is that I find the finger hole is a bit tight on my middle finger. It doesn’t cut off circulation, but it is a bit tighter than I would prefer.



The bra does up with straps that are made of elastic band. Two straps tie behind the neck, and two straps tie at the back. The straps are quite long (see measurements above) so the length of the bands should not be a problem for anyone. However, the cups may be an issue for some people because they are rather small. There is also no underwire or padding in the cups. My C cup chest looked gigantic in this teeny tiny bra because my chest was coming out both the inside and outside of the cups. My partner seems to like the look of the too-small-for-my-boobs bras so I’ll probably wear it for him just because he likes it.



The overtop is cropped and is racer-back style. The measurements I had provided above are of the top unstretched. The top is very stretchy. The top has elastic band running along the bottom of the top, around the neck, and back. Since the top was so stretchy, I had no issues with it fitting me.

The shorts have 6 straps to them in total. There are 2 straps on each side of the shorts and 2 straps coming from the top of the shorts. The two straps that come from the top of the shorts are approximately 2 ¾ inches away from eachother, and the straps meet at the top of the back of the shorts in the centre. The 2 straps on each side of the shorts have a 4 ½ inch gap between them. There is also no lining at all inside of the shorts.

The straps on the sides of the shorts have a bit of stretch to them, but the straps that come from the top of the shorts are elastic band so they are extremely stretchy! It would have been nice if all of the straps were elastic band because then they would have fit me. When I tried the shorts on, I was pulling them up my upper thigh and I hear “ripppppp”. They didn’t rip completely so I figured I’d pull them up gently just for the sake of the review. When they were pulled up completely, I had muffin top everywhere! It was a very scary sight in the mirror. When I went to take them off, they ripped a bit more. Needless to say, they don’t fit me at all and I won’t attempt to wear them again.

The bra and shorts have little tiny rhinestones on them. On the bra, the rhinestones run along the top of the cups. On the shorts, the rhinestones run along the top of them, as well as the bottom (including the straps). I do find the rhinestones cute, but when I had taken the outfit out of the packaging, I had noticed that there were quite a few rhinestones that already had come off. The rhinestones are very tiny so it’s not a huge deal, but the more rhinestones that fall off, the more awkward it may look. You can actually see in the photos that I had posted earlier in the review that there are quite a few rhinestones missing on the bra (the inner area of the cup on the right).

In all of the pieces of the outfit, there are size/care tags in them. I ended up cutting the tags out of the fishnet pieces since I felt they looked a bit awkward through the fishnet. I found the material of the outfit to be comfortable and did not experience any irritation to my skin. Of course, I can’t really comment on how comfortable the shorts were because I had them on for like, 3 seconds… but the rest of the outfit is nice.

The packaging states that the outfit should be hand washed separately in cold water and line dried. The outfit should also not be bleached.

I’ve decided to give the outfit a 4 out of 5 rating. While the shorts didn’t fit me, the rest of the outfit was fine. If you are in the weight bracket that I mentioned above, the outfit should fit you well. I really think the outfit is sexy and has a very “bad ass” look to it. The price is incredible for a 4-piece outfit too. The reason why I had deducted one star is because the rhinestones on the outfit will eventually fall off (if they haven’t already started while in the packaging). It’s sad that this isn’t available in plus sizes because I really would love to own a pair of these shorts that fit me.
