Maid bikini top with panty - costume discontinued by Coquette - review by GS28

-Shipping and Packaging-
This was my first purchase from EF, and the package arrived in a discreet white postal box only two days after ordered. I was definitely impressed with how EF has maintained my privacy and how quickly this was processed and shipped.

The actual costume was packaged in a purple and white "Kissable by Coquette" box with a blond model on the front. Although this box is different from the one I've seen in other reviews, the costume is the same. The box also notes that this is Style 1921, Black/White, O/S


The Coquette box has a tabbed closure at the top, but it was not sealed with tape. The costume was also just wadded up in the box. I found this odd because it doesn't provide any idea that my costume is new and unused. To compensate for this I immediately washed the set and allowed the pieces to dry.


-Design and Fit-
This cute little costume is 80% nylon and 20% spandex with lace trim. For the price, I was expecting a flimsy polyester-ish nylon costume, but the non-lace pieces have a good weight to them and are extremely soft with a little stretch. People with sensitive skin may find the and Velcro a little scratchy, but I was surprised at how comfortable this set was, especially compared to some other crotchless pieces I've tried. It's also sewn well and comfortable enough to be worn for a long period.

Because this outfit is one-size fits most, it can fit a wide range of sizes and body types. For Coquette, my measurements put in the Large/X-Large category. At the widest, my hips are 42" and the bottoms fit me perfectly. My bra size is hard to fit in a lot of lingerie (41" at largest, and I'm a 36DD or 34F/G depending on brand and fit), so I wasn't expecting a perfect fit. I was fully prepared to wear the bottoms with a black push-up bra I already own. I was blown away when the top actually fit around my chest. It offers no support and it was difficult to keep the Velcro snaps closed, once everything was in place, but I was able to wear the complete ensemble...and it actually looked pretty good. If this came in a plus size version, I think it would have been too big for my body.

It felt great and looked good on. Also, while many crotchless pieces have re-enforcement seams around the crotch area that can cause that part of the garment to feel tight, this piece has only two nylon/spandex cords that don't pinch or bind. They also frame the tush amazingly well.

You can also hide small items, like a condom, mini sized lube, or small vibe in the pocket for extra fun. Show up in thigh highs and heels or pair with a feather duster (or feather tickler) to complete this look.

The only flaw was that the "maid" headband wouldn't stand up for me. I don't think my husband noticed, though.


-Care-
The tags say that these should be hand washed and line dried. I washed mine on the "hand wash" cycle and put them on the drying rack, and they held up beautifully. When storing, the bottoms can get tangled up on itself, so I try to be careful when putting them away.


My final take-away is that, since you can't tell that the bottoms are crotchless from the front, it's the perfect costume to walk in wearing the first time, and slowly turn around and drop your "dust" rag or feather duster on the floor for the "oops, clumsy me" bend over moment.
