Hot wired dress - mini dress discontinued by DreamGirl - review by alayamae

This dress was very pretty. With a silver and black zig-zag pattern, this dress would look great on anyone. The mesh/see-through polyester material it is made out of feels amazing on the skin. However, the little ruffles on the belt were really scratchy and hurt after wearing the dress for too long. The metal belt buckle also would flip over and stab me in the stomach if I moved around too much. After wearing the dress once, the seams began falling apart a little and there were stray strings around the skirt.

The skirt is about six inches long and the belt covers about two of those inches. Un-stretched, the skirt is (for a medium) 14 inches wide. The skirt and belt both stretch out to be 17 inches wide. The straps going up to the top of the dress are only 8 inches long, so if you have a long torso, it's unlikely the top will reach all the way to fit comfortably. I had that issue; I had to tie the straps looser so the top would fit right. The part that covers the breasts does not stretch. It can be tightened, to almost nothing, but it only moves out about 4.5 inches. I would say it would only fit a B cup, tops. There are two straps, one that goes around the neck and the other that goes around the back. They are fairly strechy and each strap is about thirty inches long.

The thong that goes with the dress matches the pattern. It fits nicely around the waist, but not so much in the crotch area. The lining is horribly misplaced and covers my ass more than my vagina. It starts four inches down the thong, (where it's already going back up) and ends another inch later. If the lining wasn't so far down it would be a thong I would wear daily.

The black light effect is really cool. It makes the silver very bright and the black darker.

I would definitely not put it into the washer, but if it is put in a lingerie bag, it should do fine.

I haven't worn this dress again since I wrote the first review. I wish the design was done differently. It lands in the awkward area of my legs so it just makes my legs look bad. I love the black light feature and the top part of the dress though.
