Iridescence babydoll with thong - babydoll and panty set by Fantasy Lingerie - review by Megasaurusrex

The Iridescent Babydoll with Thong arrived a day earlier than expected in a small, almost weightless box. I opened it to find it wrapped nicely in a magenta-colored tissue paper which was not only surprising but very cute and highly appreciated (thanks EF). After taking off the paper, I saw that the actual piece was inside of a clear plastic bag like what you would get from a laundry mat. I took out the piece and discarded the rest.

The very first thing I noticed about the set itself was the color. It was a lovely snow white. I'm not very partial to the color white in general, but it is such a clean color that is perfect for this set. The second thing I noticed was the design in the lace. Some of the string used to embroider it has a bit of sparkle to it that shines slightly green. I assume it would reflect whatever colors were around at the time.

The thong is made of white fishnet that is embroidered with flowers and leaves. In the middle of the front is a small bow made of ribbon and two small white beads. The backside of the thong actually moves along the waist strap. You can adjust its position which can come in handy. It is soft and very comfortable. I wish the backside had that small triangle of fabric that some thongs have but that is just my personal style. The only complaint I have about the thong is that it had a tag right smack dab in the middle of the front of the thong. Since this is made of a mesh fabric, you can see right through it and see the tag. I cut it out.

The babydoll is very nice. The bust part of it is made of the same mesh fabric as the thong with the same embroidery and a bow in-between the cups. There are also bows where the straps meet the rest of the babydoll on either side. The cups are made with underwires to give a little bit of support. It has a clasp enclosure on the back that feels like felt or flannel; it is very soft. There is a tag on the left side under the arm which you can see, but once again, I just cut it out. The tag is in a place, though, where it doesn't distract from the overall design. There are four lengths of fabric that fall from the bra. It is made of a different and more solid fabric. It is the exact same color and just as comfortable as the rest of the babydoll. They are very pretty and add a lot to the outfit.

The straps are the negative part. The back of the straps are made of the same elastic as the thong and are adjustable. The beaded part, however, is not. The pearl-esque beads are made from a plastic that reminds me of the plastic dress-up pearls you give little girls to wear. They are held together with what looks like fishing line. There are metal rings that attach them to the elastic strap and front of the bra. The metal is very dark and doesn't look like it goes well with the rest of the design. The beaded part is also very long. On me, they go right up over my shoulders which causes the straps to not stay securely. They fall down with little-to-no movement. If the beaded part were only a tiny bit smaller, they would be fine. It could, however, be because mine is an extra-large. I thought I would order big because I wasn't sure the bra would fit my breasts. That was a smart decision. Even with an XL, my breasts are almost falling out.

Overall, this is a beautiful babydoll set. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a romantic night or who just wants to feel beautiful.

I still like this babydoll for the most part. I did end up doing my own modifications on it, taking off some of the pearls so that it would sit correctly on my shoulders.
