Gartered mini dress discontinued

..And A Cherry On Top

This dress is cute, it's well made, and best of all, it's not a one size fits all. The colors pop in person and you'll spend more time feeling the material than teasing your partner with it. Just watch out for the garter straps, I'm pretty sure those are just for show.

Pros
Comfortable, well made, cute design, not one size fits some.
Cons
Hand wash, garter straps aren't adjustable, garter clips seemed finicky.

extremely useful review
I thought this would be a cute way to spice things up, and I was right.

First, the packaging. Same old Leg Avenue packaging: item comes wrapped around a cardboard insert inside a cardboard "case" inside a plastic bag. The front of the package features a photo of the model wearing this dress along with a pair of black thigh high stockings. The back is the same photo only slightly grayed out and also has washing instructions and materials.

To avoid confusion I'll put the measurements of this dress laying flat in a list form.

- Back of dress from top to bottom: about 17"
- Front of dress from top of cup to bottom hem: about 21"
- Width of dress along top seam in the back: flat is 14" but stretches up to 18"
- Each cup measures 7" by 6 1/2"
- Length of each halter strap: 18" but stretches to about 26"
- Each garter strap measures 6" long including the clip

I think this is the first thing I've gotten from Leg Avenue that wasn't a "one size fits some," and I got a S/M. According to Leg Avenue, this means I should be between a size 5-8, A-B cup, 32-36" bust, 23-27" waist, and 34-38" hips. Personally I'm about 5'2, I weigh about 105, around my bust measures about 31" and underneath measures about 28 1/2". I've got about a 25" waist with 33" hips and I wear a B cup. Everything fit really well and nothing was too tight.

For the other size available, a M/L, you should be between a size 10-14, B-C cup, 34-38" bust, 25-29" waist, with 36-40" hips.

This dress is pretty form fitting, so if you fall between sizes I would recommend going up in size.

This dress is pretty well made, it got tugged on a lot and nothing seems out of place at all. The red of the cherries and the green of the stems and leaves really really pop against the black background. The straps also become the "seam" along the top and are almost the same shade of red that the cherries are. The cups meet at the top at a bow that doesn't detract from the overall aesthetics like I've seen some bows do.

This dress features a pretty neat idea as well, garter clips attached right to the dress. Well, it's a great idea in theory. The straps aren't adjustable, so I only attached one once just to see if I could, and while I could, the clip just seemed so finicky, which made me sad, because I'd never had this problem with lingerie before. But not being attached to the stockings didn't take away from the design for me, and my fiance loved it because it meant the dress slid up easier. However, the straps do have a cute design going for them. They're shaped sort of like a triangle and meet at the clip. I've included a picture here just so you can see what I'm talking about.

If you lose your 'box', you can always refer back to the small tag on the inside of the dress for your materials and washing, in both English and Spanish. 88% Nylon and 12% Spandex make for hand washing and a drip dry if you ask the box, but the tag says you can tumble dry. As always, don't bleach.

For storage, you can keep this anywhere you keep any other delicates you may have. I personally keep mine in a large ziploc bag.

If you decide that the garter straps aren't worth having if they won't get used, you can clip them out without it being noticeable that they were there to begin with. And then you won't have to answer the question of "what the heck are those" if you decide to wear this out as a shirt, which you definitely could. I would suggest either a bikini top or some pasties if you don't want the whole world to see that you're cold.
Experience
I think my only issue with this little dress was that the only way in hell it was gonna go down and kinda cover my butt was if I clipped the garter straps to my stockings, which wasn't gonna happen cuz that meant there was no way in hell I was going to be able to bend over to save my life. If the straps were adjustable, I think I would have been just fine.

My first thought when I put it on was "damn, no boobs" but I think that can be remedied by just wearing your favorite black bikini top underneath. That's what I'll be doing when I wear this out as a shirt. It doesn't fall very low in the back, about the same as any tank top.

My next thought was "sweet, another piece I can wear as actual clothing" because the more you can multi-task your clothing, the better, at least in my opinion.

The halter straps dug in a little bit at first, but if you untie then retie looser you shouldn't have a problem.

If I missed anything, please don't hesitate to ask.
Follow-up commentary
I still like wearing this, but more as a shirt when it's hot out than as something sexy for the bedroom. My measurements have changed a bit, now coming in at about 110 pounds, size 4/6, around my bust measures 32" and underneath measures about 28 1/2". I've got about a 29" waist with 37" hips and this still fits me really well. It's been discontinued by Eden, but it's still available from Leg Avenue if you do a Google search, so if you'll fit in this and want it, get searching.

I wish they would make this cute stuff in more sizes. I likely couldn't even have worn this when I was in 145 lbs.

    Great review.
