The babydoll and G-string set is absolutely lovely. I purchased this set in size XL, though it is available in sizes S-3X/4X. I had a hard time choosing between the two colour options available; blue and red. I eventually went with red, but plan on getting the blue one too in the future.

The babydoll and G-string arrived on a padded clothes hanger with a clear, plastic bag covering the items (you can see the hanger in the photo below). Attached to the babydoll was the item tag, as well as a small zip-lock style bag, which held the detachable straps for the babydoll. When I had opened the packaging to have a better look at the item, I actually fell more in love with the piece than I had already when I first seen the stock photo.



The babydoll is 82% nylon and 18% spandex, and the thong is lycra. The ruffle trim on the top of the chest is mesh, and the little rhinestones underneath the chest seem to be plastic. There is no underwire in the chest, but there is a thin layer of padding. Both the babydoll and G-string are very stretchy. I probably could have fit into a size large comfortably (especially in the chest), but the extra room in the size XL is not a big deal because of the style of the babydoll.

G-string band length: 16 ½ inches
Detachable, adjustable shoulder straps: 9 ½ -17 inches each
Length underneath chest: 17 ½ inches
Cup Width (from top of chest area-below ruffle to bottom of chest area): 5 ¼ inches
Width of section below chest: 3 inches
Ruffle Trim above chest: 1 inch
Length of babydoll (from top of ruffles to bottom of second layer): 23 inches

The G-string is nothing to write home about. It’s solid black in colour, and just your basic g-string. It’s a comfortable material, but if you’re looking for fancy, you’re not going to find that with this one. Coquette makes lovely corsets, babydolls, etc… but the G-strings that come in these sets are boring. Luckily though, I didn’t buy this piece for the G-string.



The babydoll is extremely comfortable and absolutely gorgeous. While the piece is sold as a lingerie item, I’ll be getting more use out of the babydoll from wearing it in public as a top. The babydoll can be worn with or without the shoulder straps, as they are detachable. The loops to attach the straps to the top are on the inside of the top, so it will not look odd if you choose to go without them. Personally, I prefer to wear the straps so that it holds the top up.

Since the chest has a thin layer of padding inside, you do not need to wear a bra with this piece. The only problem I had with this outfit was that my chest (I wear a C-cup) did not have anything to really support the weight. This probably won’t be a problem for someone with a smaller chest, but the larger your chest is, the more of a problem this will be for you.

The 2 rhinestones underneath the chest are cute, but they are loosely sewn on by just one strand of thread. I’ll probably add a few more stitches so that the rhinestones are more secure on the top. While they haven’t fallen off yet, I figured it would be worth the mention.



The bottom half of the babydoll consists of two thin layers of material. The top layer is about three inches shorter than the bottom layer. Both layers have red stitching on the bottom, which matches the chest. When I put my hand under the first layer, I could see my hand through the material, but with the second layer, you cannot see through it when it is worn. Below are a few photos of me wearing the babydoll. The last photo I am wearing a sweater with the top, as this is the way I prefer to wear it in public.

The care tag in the babydoll states that the items should be hand washed and hung to dry. I suggest storing the babydoll by hanging it in a closet so the padding in the chest doesn't lose its shape.

Overall, I rate this product a 5 out of 5. I love the fact that I can wear this in the bedroom, but can also wear it out in public without feeling exposed. The babydoll is feminine and just so gorgeous that I plan on buying the same piece in the blue colour the next time I place an order. I feel that this babydoll would flatter any body type, and make anyone feel really gorgeous when wearing it. I’m ridiculously happy with this purchase!

I still love this babydoll! I actually purchased the blue one as well. I wear both colours out in public beneath a shrug. No one knows that it's actually a lingerie piece because it's opaque. I've received many compliments on my "pretty tank top". I'm still very happy with my purchase and would recommend the outfit to wear both in and/or out of the bedroom.
