Barely there slip - chemise discontinued by Fantasy Lingerie - review by KrissyNovacaine

I bought this piece to wear under my lace and fishnet dresses. I needed a black short dress to pull off the look I was going for. This slip works for that... mostly.

Over all it is comfortable, light and useful. I appreciate that it isn't heavyweight. The polyester is very sleek and fun to touch which surprised me. Also, it breathed pretty well and didn't overheat me.

The downsides: The slit hits me weird. I am 5'10, but most of that is leg. I am actually very short in the torso. I am a perfect 2X according to the size chart for Fantasy Lingerie. This slip was a little loose on me, especially through the waist, and the slit hit me really high on the hip which made it difficult to wear for what I intended. I found that it was hard to make sure that the slit hit right when I had my transparent pieces layered over it. I suppose this wouldn't be a big deal if you were wearing it under a dress that wasn't see through or tight fitting, but for me it was frustrating. It is stretchy, so I would recommend sizing down if you want it tight.

Bedroom wear: I totally recommend this if you want to seduce someone without appearing like you are trying to seduce them. This is a very simple piece but it is very sexy. Because it doubles as a night gown, you can look amazing without looking like you are trying.

Caring for your slip: It's polyester. Theoretically, you can wash and dry it normally. I wouldn't though. I wash my lingerie, no matter what the tag says, on delicate in the washing machine using a lingerie bag and hang dry. It prolongs the life of your lingerie significantly.

Great for bedroom and sleep wear. Not the best product for layering under tight dresses. Comfortable enough that I do not regret my purchase even if it doesn't work for what I intended.

This still isn't my favorite piece I own, but I dropped about 10 lbs (not a lot at my weight) and it does fit a little better. I actually rocked it on its own out of the house with a spiked belt and motorcycle boots and it looked really good. I did end up with awkward placed mosquito bites on my bum, but that isn't the dress's fault.

I've found that I need to straps to be adjustable and then this would be perfect for me. The straps dig into my skin and the top of the slip rides up over my very large chest.

Overall, better than I originally thought, but I would like to see improvements to this.
