Mesh babydoll with g-string - babydoll and panty set by Coquette - review by evanovca

This ballerina pink babydoll from Coquette is quite cute and a nice easy addition to one's lingerie wardrobe. If you're looking for something feminine and girly to make you feel pretty, just slip this on and you'll instantly feel frilly and lovely!

The whole babydoll is mesh with black lace edging. The straps are adjustable with ties so it's very customizable. The cups on the top are a single layer of see-through mesh. The skirt part is two layers of mesh which makes it pretty opaque. With the right bra you could probably get away with wearing this out but I think it looks very bedroom/nightgown.

The set comes with a very cute pink and black g-string panty. At the back of the panty, in the center is an adorable black satin bow!

There isn't much to the packaging, just a clear plastic bag over the set. However, one of the things I'm really coming to like about Coquette is that their pieces come on a nice satin, padded hanger with clips! It's a nice extra touch. The product tags are also attached by a ribbon and a small black safety pin so you don't need scissors or to risk tearing delicate material to get it off!

For the most part I really like this set, but there are a couple things I would caution about. It seems that Coquette really makes the panties that come with their sets an afterthought. I can't see getting a lot of wear out them. Seems like the moment my guy pulled on them with any real passion or urgency, they'd break. I generally wear something else from my wardrobe to accompany unless he wants to be able to tear something off me. It is somewhat useful to have a stash of tear away panties!

But for the prices, I would like it if they put more thought into all their pieces. The babydoll is the main event and that is decent quality, so I am happy enough to keep ordering Coquette lingerie regardless of the panty situation. In fairness, this piece is actually very affordable.

The lace is a bit on the scratchy side but it doesn't really touch your skin and I think a bit of mild fabric softener will help relax it. I hand wash and hang dry all my lingerie because it extends the life of delicate materials like mesh and lace. Tepid water is indicated for the material type.

One last thing I'll caution about is the fact that this piece is a one size and one size plus sizing garment. This means that you won't get as nice a fit as a piece with more specific sizing. I'm somewhere around a size 20ish and I think it would fit just a tad better on an 16/18. There is plenty of room but it has more to do with how it falls. Also, I have a very short torso and find it falls somewhere around the panty line. If you have a longer torso and want more coverage, you might want to pass this one up.
