Sequin peek-a-boo gift set - bra and panty set discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by pirata

This is a lingerie piece by Leg Avenue. It is One Size Fits Most, which should have warned me that it wasn't a perfect idea for me. I am a size large in most things, 14 in dresses. So, it's not like I am particularly large. Unfortunately, my thighs were too big to slide the g-string up past them. If you are a larger individual, approach with caution!

It comes in a gift box with a cardboard piece around the box that shows a picture of the model wearing the lingerie. The box would be good for storing the lingerie because it could keep it from getting tangled with other things, or the stockings from getting runs. The box is pink and black, and is closed with a pink ribbon.

It has three pieces: gartered g-string, stockings, and peek a boo bra. It looks less pretty in person because the shiny bits are red sequins. If you have any experience with sequins, you know they can scratch you and that they are difficult when you try to keep the piece clean. The bra is obviously not going to give any support because it has open cups. The bow is pretty, but the straps are uncomfortable under your breasts. The shoulder straps are comfortable enough. The g-string has a HUGE tag sticking out of it in a very awkward place. You would definitely need to cut it off for the lingerie to be comfortable and attractive on you. The stockings, on the other hand, are beyond reproach. Gorgeous red color with lace tops makes them perfect. They, thankfully, did fit my legs. You can use them with any other garter belt you own if you want.

Here is the fabric and washing information: hand wash cold, only non chlorine bleach when needed, drip dry, do not iron. Made in Taiwan. 80% nylon, 20% spandex.

On the whole, it's frustrating that I can't wear the whole matching set together. The only piece that is perfect is the stockings. The bra is pretty and could be interesting to surprise someone with, but is not comfortable enough for prolonged wear. The g-string only has a limited amount of stretch and the sequins on both pieces have the possibility of scratching you. They seem to be constructed well and will hold up to a lot of use if taken care of properly. Honestly, the thing that might not hold up is the sequins. The stockings are prone to runs, just like all stockings if you don't treat them right. The only two things I actually like a lot are the stockings and the box.

I honestly have never worn this again. It's too scratchy and small. I do still use the box it came in though. And I occasionally use the stockings.
