Plum jeweled babydoll - babydoll and panties set by Escante - review by Shellz31

BRAND & COLOUR:

The Plum Jewelled baby doll and g-string is created by Escante in Mexico. Eden stocks the set in Black, Wine and the Plum which comes in sizes from S, M, L as well as XL. In person, the plum is a Fuchsia/Purple shade. It's very different from the deep purple in the product page images.


MATERIAL:

This set is 100% Nylon, exclusive of decorations, and is made from a tight weaved mesh. I prefer this from some of their other types of mesh, as it's not quite as see through and feels like better quality due to the weave. It still has the ultra stretch in each direction. Although, the vertical stretch is more mild. Each cup is padded and has a Nylon fabric cupping your breasts instead of my preferred choice of cotton. On the front between the cups is two strands of fuchsia/purple ribbon for tying the baby doll closed.
The g-string is created from the same mesh and elastic.

Knowing that a lot of lingerie doesn't cater for larger breasts unless you go for a large size, I decided to go with the XL. I'm weary of pieces that have padded cups cause they often won't cover enough of my DD's to support them at my age.
The lingerie pictured below are modelled by Eve. Her measurements are 37", 33", 42" and she has a D cup.

All measurements below are gained by measuring across a flat garment.


G-STRING:

Apart from the large size tag on the back, the g-string is comfortable enough. Although it has a panel that runs for the front right through to the back, it narrows down where it sits between the butt cheeks. The mesh panel is edged in elastic and creates the waist band. Inside is a small patch of black cotton as a panty liner. Good news, it's attached on all four sides.

BABYDOLL:

The Jewelled baby doll features five rows of two clear cubic zirconia gems on the beginning of the bra type straps. The rest of the straps are purple elastic and can adjust from 8 ½” to 15” unstretched. The moulded underwire cups are padded in black Nylon and then covered in the fuchsia/purple mesh on the outside. Between the cups is a large plastic hook and an elastic loop to help keep the baby doll closed, along with the two strands of ribbon (14 ¾” long). Encasing the cup edges is elastic matching the ribbon. The back features elastic across the top and a second band running between the base of the cups to make for a comfortable fit. The skirt part is made using four panels. At the bottom front corners have been rounded, so the baby doll naturally gapes open slightly.
All seams are neat and serged.

CLEANING ~ PACKAGING:

As the label says, I hand washed this one in cold water and then allowed it to drip dry. Not only was I concerned about the colour leeching out on my other pieces, but I didn't want the gems to possibly come loose in the machine. I will more than likely continue to hand wash this one or place it in a pillow case, if I get lazy, so the gems aren't going to fling against the metal bowl. I'd still set the front loader onto a hand wash or delicate cycle.

The set arrived rolled up in Eden's pink tissue paper to keep it separated from the rest of my package. Joined to the baby doll with two plastic tag fasteners was the g-string and a label. The funny part is, the label features a model who is wearing a purple and black lingerie piece that is nothing like this item. Interesting....


EXPERIENCE:

I had hoped it was the colour shown in the images. I'm not a real fan of the shade that arrived, but I could of lived with that no worries.
But I don't like is because the cups are so small for what I require, they aren't able to give me any real lift (allowing my tits to sag) and have major spillage with just a little support. I need cups that can cater for my entire breast and then allow for me to shorten the shoulder straps to bring them up to where they use to be. I found the elastic straps on this gave too much and I wasn't able to shorten them enough to make up for that fact.

Unlike on their other ones where they used a smaller metal hook (like the ones you find on a bra that has removable straps), on this one they decided to go for a large clear plastic one. Common sense to me says the metal one is your better choice, especially if those with weighty breasts are able to wear the pieces and put pressure on the hook holding. Yes, there is the ribbon too, but I have found it often comes undone if not double bowed cause it's shiny and slippery.
On the other side, the sewers have done such a tiny loop that it's a real bitch to get the chunky hook in. It will hold better once it's in, but you have to get it there first. And then take your time, being careful, when pulling it out because the tip on the hook of mine has snagged the loop elastic – there's a pulled thread now.

This company just hasn't gotten off to a good start with me and I'm not all that impressed. It's a shame this one didn't work well, cause I had hoped to get one in all three colours if I really liked this one. Now, can't see me purchasing any more of their pieces, I'm just wasting my money – especially when it would cost almost as much as the outfits as it would to send them back. Lesson learnt!
