Bullet Proof Babydoll is Worth a Shot

While we aren't normally rednecks, my husband and I both think the camo look is sexy. The gauzy texture and appearance of this babydoll will flatter any figure, and this piece is surprisingly well-made for the price.

extremely useful review
I don't have a lot of experience with lingerie; my husband doesn't appreciate it. It has probably been five years or more since I have bought anything more racy than discount store bulk package underwear. That said, something about the Bullet Proof Triangle Cup Babydoll caught my eye and I really wanted to try it.

The lingerie came wrapped in pink tissue paper, which I thought was a nice touch. The bottom portion is a g-string. The crotch is lined with soft black fabric, and the material is a stretchy, gauzy, translucent fabric. The g-string looks a little darker than the top portion- not sure if that is by design, or if it is just the way mine was cut from the camo pattern. The tag for the g-string is attached to the front, and is visible through the fabric. I thought that was really odd, but it was easy to tear the tag out, so no big deal.

The babydoll portion consists of a bra-like piece that has strips of light, translucent material hanging from it. I'm sure there's a fancy lingerie term for them, but I don't have much experience in this area so I will call them flaps. The pictures on the website make it look like the back is solid, but in reality the back has two distinct flaps just like the front does. The bra portion is all one piece with no clasps, but there is a decorative piece in the front that I had initially thought would be a front clasp. The decorative piece is a brassy color and is shaped like four bullets side-by-side (the picture shows three bullets here-- maybe that is because mine was a plus size?). The bullets are cute and look better in person than on the website.

This outfit was pretty true to size. I ordered a 3X. I normally wear size 22 for pants and 24-26 for tops. The g-string was a little looser than I would have liked, but the top was exactly the right size. I am a 46C, and the bra portion fit me almost perfectly. That was nice for me, since a lot of plus size lingerie manufacturers seem to assume that we all have gigantic breasts. I do not think this would work with somebody with breasts much larger than mine, but a B cup would probably be just fine.

I really liked several features about this item. First, while nobody thinks of sexy lingerie as a support undergarment, there was just enough breast support that I didn't have to be self conscious about sagging and whatnot. Second, the bra straps were very easy to adjust and the straps stayed as I had adjusted them the whole time, rather than slipping like cheap lingerie has in the past. Also, I really liked the feel of the fabric-- it was kind of soft, but stretchy, but almost silky... It felt very sexy to the touch. Finally, I loved the way the top looked on me-- the way the flaps floated around when I moved was very sexy, and I feel that the top would flatter almost any figure except for somebody with very large breasts.

My only complaint about this outfit is the way the g-string is shaped. The front triangle piece is very narrow. While that may look good on some people, it is not a good look for me or many girls over say a size 8. If you look at the picture of the model on the product page, you can see that the g-string cuts in kind of awkwardly and you can kind of see the folds in her pubic area. I had seen the pictures and knew that the front was a little more narrow than my taste would dictate, but I found that the proportions were not the same and that the plus size g-string was cut even more narrowly than the standard one pictured on the website. (I am talking visible lady parts on either side of the triangle.) This is a matter of personal preference, but I do not like this look on me or on others. I also really didn't like the height of the front of the g-string- it kind of hit me at an awkward place about three inches below my belly button and the waistband kept sliding down.

All in all, I really liked this outfit. I doubt I wear it very often, but I felt very sexy in it. I will wear different panties in the future, but the babydoll will look fine with pretty much any solid black panties.

I considered this one, but then decided I'd need to get the matching panties in the same line because I hate G-strings, and that made it kind of pricey. Then I read the reviews on the BulletProof Teddy and got that instead. I love it. Glad you love yours.
