First Impressions

When I look in my lingerie drawer, most of the items are black. While black is slimming and seductive on almost everyone, myself included, I was ready for a new addition to my collection that would stand out and make me feel sexy. When I first saw the Passionate Lace Chemise, I was thrilled with the bold red, see-through lace fabric that looked very flattering on the model. When I had the chance to review the lingerie set, I jumped on the chance! When the package arrived, I quickly ripped away the plastic bag, eager to try on the matching mini dress and G-string thong that fell into my lap.



Mini Dress



To put on this dress, I pull the garment over my head so the fabric pools at my waist. Then, I fasten the choker neckline in a bow at the back of my neck. The string for this choker is fairly long and would be able to accommodate many different neck sizes. I found the choker surprisingly comfortable. Unlike some high necklines that make me feel suffocated, the light, stretchy fabric on this dress, allows me to breathe and move freely.



The design of the dress is very alluring. The choker neckline morphs into a halter design with a deep plunge to just below my belly button. The halter top just barely covers my breasts. This surprised me since the model on the website had much larger boobs than me and the dress seemed to cover her breasts adequately. When I move around in this dress, nip-slips are inevitable. This said, the top part of this garment is still very flattering on my body.

My favorite part of the design are the crisscrossing ribbons holding the plunge-neckline together that remind me of corset strings. When I first held up the dress, sparkling rhinestones caught my eye. Gems are glued to the intersections where the crisscrossing ribbons meet the lacy fabric. This extra sparkle adds a bit of glam to this one-piece dress.



The dress falls right below my butt, giving my S.O. a glimpse of my cheeks whenever I start to dance. As you can see from the video review, my thong and nipple covers peek through the see-through lace, barely hiding anything at all! However, the provocative design only adds to the appeal of the garment. As you might guess, with little left to the imagination, this dress is best kept behind closed doors.

G-String Panties



The panties are simple and elegant. I love the soft feel of the satin border and the fact that you can see my landing strip through the lace fabric covering my crotch. These are panties I could wear on a daily basis.

While the panties were a bit loose on me, I found that this made them even cozier! One thing I hate is when panties are so tight that the strings dig into my flesh and create bulges that can be seen under my clothing. This is not a problem with these panties!

Material



The Passionate Lace Chemise set is made from 88% Nylon and 12% Spandex/Elastane. When I first picked up the garment, I was struck by the softness of the fabric. The stretchy lace material is smooth, not rough or itchy at all. One of my pet peeves is scratchy lace, so I was delighted by the comfort this material offered. The border on the dress and the panties is made from a soft, satiny material, that feels luxurious as it slips across my skin.

Care instructions: Machine wash cold. Do not iron. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not tumble dry.
I find that hand-washing this garment and hanging dry works well!

Size



The size of this garment is a mystery. The product page lists this garment as S/M (small/medium), the plastic bag marked the set as size M, and the tag on the dress says it is O/S (one size)! As you can see from the Spice Lingerie size chart above, the difference between O/S and S/M is minimal. My measurements consistently fall on the lower end of each size range. While the garment was slightly loose on me, overall, I was extremely satisfied with the fit! With the stretch fabric and adjustable choker neckline, this garment would certainly fit women larger than me.
