Bustier was a Bust...
Overall, I can say that it actually worked the way it was supposed to. I asked my husband to help me to do the back up and he couldn't keep his hands off me; it was like 0-horny in 20 seconds flat. I think this one is going to spend most of its time hanging in the closet, clean and pretty to look at.Published: January 26, 2012
Pros:
Soft material, beautiful to look at, hubby got really excited while I was trying to put it on.
Cons:
G-strings are not meant for the likes of me, I don't feel sexy while wearing it.
What it is … how to wear it
bus•tier
[boos-tyey] noun
a woman's close-fitting, sleeveless, strapless top, often elasticized, usually having boning or facing to give it shape, and worn as a blouse.
The bustier is black lace over a purple heart shaped design on the front. It has padded underwire cups, plastic boning, center back hook & eye closure. It also has six attached garters. There are two garters on the front, one on each side, and two for the back. The G-string has the typical triangle in front and little more than straps in the back. I don't know that I will ever feel comfortable enough to wear this kind of panty. The purple shown in the picture seems brighter and shinier compared to the product that I received.
Packaging
It came wrapped in pink tissue paper. The straps were in a small plastic bag attached by a safety pin. Also attached was a tag with the model wearing the bustier and G-string. I was a little disappointed in how it was packaged. I had read other reviews of this product and they came with a cute little Coquette hanger and enclosed in plastic to protect it. I think I felt a little deprived with only my pink tissue paper.
Material and Care
The lingerie is made of 82% nylon and 18% spandex. The washing instructions state it is to be hand washed only. You need to hang it and let it drip dry.
Design, Sizing and Fit
The bustier is beautifully made and soft to the touch. I picked the extra-large because I tend to seesaw between size 12 to 16 depending on the manufacturer of the clothing. The extra-large is supposed to fit size 14- 16. The range for the cup size is 42-44 D. They also list the waist size from 34-36 and hip size from 44-46. My waist is around a 36 and I admit to not knowing what my hip size is. With all of that said, it didn’t fit me well at all. When sitting, my belly stuck out too much to be considered sexy. The plastic boning isn't very sturdy at all and does nothing for the outfit. It hardly feels like there is anything there.
The garters can be lengthened from 4 inches, which is the shortest length it can be, to 6 1/2 inches. The shoulder straps are 1/2 wide and are adjustable to a length slightly above 16 inches. The bustier measures 19 inches from the top of the cup to the beginning of the garter. When I lay the bustier out from end to end it is 33 3/4 inches wide, when the hooks are fastened it measures a little over 16 inches wide.

Experience
Comfort and Final Thoughts
I was not very comfortable in this at all. It isn’t so bad when I was standing, although the straps are a little uncomfortable. I can take the straps off, but I have too much cleavage for it to look good if I don’t use the straps. If I use the first set of hooks everything is too loose fitting. When using the second set of hooks it is tighter and uncomfortable to wear. I really dislike the underwire, especially since it doesn't actually add any support to my breasts. Everything hangs out, uncomfortably I might add, or if I try to tuck everything, in I feel the underwire cutting across the bottom of both breasts. The straps say that they are removable, but it takes both my hubby and me at least 5 minutes getting just one off. I tried the G-string on but it doesn't fit comfortably at all. When I pull it to the point where it covers my entire crotch, over half of my butt hangs out.

Follow-up commentary
9 days after original review
I was up in the air after writing this review. I loved the way that it looked but it just wasn't the right fit for me. Although it was well made, it wasn't comfortable. I ended up sending it back because I couldn't justify keeping something that it didn't make me happy to keep.

Great review, sorry to hear it didn't work out for you.
great pics and good review
Aww, I am sad to hear this. I have been wanting this piece. It is really cute! But our measurements are close enough that I can tell that if it didn't work for you, it won't work for me. Thanks for the review.
Very nice review but really sorry it did not work out for you
Great review; sorry it didn't work for you.
Thanks so much for the votes and comments. I think for the near future I will stick to chemises and the like. I mainly want something that is comfortable and looks nice on me. Honestly my hubby doesn't care if I even wear anything, he just likes me happy so I am going to be looking for some things that make me happy.
Pics are very helpful, great review, thanks!
Wonderful review, but I'm sorry it didn't work out. It's really pretty and looks great on the model, I would have gotten my hopes up too. Thanks for reviewing even though it was less than an awesome experience for you.
