Blue babydoll and g-string - babydoll and panties set by Coquette - review by TameTemptress

This came packaged neatly folded and wrapped in bright pink tissue paper. I love the tissue paper! I always save it for gift bags. :)



The baby doll is 82% nylon, and 18% spandex. It can be worn strapless, or use the included, easily adjustable straps for a little more breast support. It's easy to either step into this and pull it up, or pull it over your head. There are no zippers or snaps or buttons to worry about. The bodice is absolutely gorgeous, and the pictures that I included just do not do it justice. The lightly padded bodice is a bright blue, with a black, gathered lace overlay. The black tones down the brightness of the blue perfectly. Black lace ruffles line the top, and under the breasts there is a empire waistband band of black, adorned with two rhinestones. If they are not your style, you can easily cut them off with no damage to the babydoll. I cut them off of the red babydoll, but decided to leave them on the blue. I like the "diamond" with the blue much more. Under the band, the dress of this babydoll has several layers of sheer fabric that are soft and flow easily. The bottom of each layer has red piping. Personally, I'd prefer that it had black, but it's a cute contrast. You cannot see through the layers of material when you have this on, which is something that I personally love as I'm a bit self conscious about my stomach.

There is no underwire and thus not much breast support. It's very figure flattering. I purchased the L as there doesn't seem to be an XL in this version (I purchased the 1x2x in the red, and it was a bit too big for me, though still fit, it was very loose). There is quite a bit of stretch to this and I think going down a size would be wise if you're on the cusp of sizes or are just not sure. The 1x/2x in red sort of swallows me, but the blue in L fits much better for my chest. For Coquette, a size L should fit sizes 12-14 (I'm usually a 14), C cup breasts (I wear a B or a C, it varies), 38-40" bust (I'm 44" around the largest part, band size is 38"). I don't really feel like waist or hip size matters much with this top, it's very flowy.

You could easily wear this as a top out of the house as well. I love lingerie items that can work both in and out of the bedroom!



The g-string is made of lycra, and is just plain and simple. It is black to match the babydoll, and it's very comfortable. I love that it's plain and I can wear it with other ensembles if I choose. While the 1x2x of the red babydoll I purchased fits perfectly, I'm afraid there's no way my 44" hips are squeezing comfortably into the size L g-string. They're not intended to either, a L for Coquette is meant for 40-42" hips.



As for washing, I hand wash the baby doll and hang to dry as per the instructions. I love it way too much to risk something happening to the lace in the washing machine.

The blue on this with the black lace overlay is stunning and I still love this babydoll! I've even worn it with a cardigan and jeans. It's awesome.
