Chloe corset - corset discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by oldman

Disappointment alert: there is no skirt or bow in the back attached to this corset! Otherwise, it is an all around beauty. She is made (and made well) by Leg Avenue. She is available in plus sizes (1X/2X and 3X4X). We have the size 1X (Mrs. is a pretty standard size 14). I like the look of the skirt with Chloe--the bow is too much--but we were unable to find anything like it either on EF, in any stores or on-line. Big boo.

On her own, Chloe is very similar to Sasha, except for the beautiful shiny red color. Also, where Sasha has no stretch in the fabric, Chloe does have stretch. The stretch, along with the open lacing in the back and side zipper, make it very size/user friendly. You do not need to be so exact on the sizing. On the front side panels there is some black embroidered flowers with small, shimmery black sequin detail. It elevates the beauty of Chloe. Red and black make a nice combination.

This corset is strapless with an open back that laces up. you can acheve an hourglass figure if you want. All you need to do is tighten or loosen the ribbon back. The zipper slides up and down easily and is soft plastic, not metal, so there is no worry of pain or rusting. There are 4 slim plastic bones on the front and 4 in the back.

Chloe is made of polyester and spandex and is (of course) hand washable. The company recommends cold water and laying her flat to dry. We place a towel on top of the dryer and lay her out to dry. Naturally, because of the boning, we do follow the instructions and hand wash her in the bath tub using liquid Tide. Even with some extra care, a few sequins came off during the hand washing routine. This left a few loose threads that the Mrs. cut off easily. More came off with the second washing so I am waiting to see how long it takes for all the sequins to be gone completely. That will distract from her beauty, but she will still be sexy and wearable.

Leg Avenue makes nice lingerie, but we have found, that like other companies, the silhouette of their items are all very similar. A little more creativity would be nice. I am sure this save money for the company, but for $81 I expect some differences other than color, ruffles, material and some floral detail. The shape is always the same.

With this corset, the Mrs. added a pair of black lycra booty shorts. To me, they are just a cute pair of Daisy Duke short-shorts. Together, it is a pretty hot outfit. The red really spices it up. Chloe does not have the ruffles that Sasha has. If you are into stockings, Chloe would be a winner for you. A plain pair of sheer black thigh highs did quite a bit to dress up the outfit.

We both still like this. I stll wish it had a cute skirt like the picture. It has held up well and is gently washed in the washing machine. Very well made!
