Sweet sensations pajama set - bed jacket discontinued by Seven 'til Midnight - review by SMichelle

I purchased these with high hopes, but I was sadly let down. The quality isn't great, and the fit was't flattering on me. I really wish I liked these, as I see other reviewers think very highly of them, but these just aren't for me.

Basics:
The Sweet Sensation pajamas are a comfy, two piece set. The set includes the pajama pants, and the long-sleeve button front pajama top. This set is made by Seven 'Til Midnight, and the tag states that these were made in China.

Material & Care:
The tag states that both pieces are made out of 97% Polyester and 3% Spandex. The low percentage of spandex means that these are not very stretchy. The waistband, however, has elastic in it, so that part is stretchy.

This pajama set is truly opaque, making it suitable to wear where others might see. The exterior of the material is shiny and smooth, with a slight shine to it. The interior is also smooth, but it's a softer material. The fabric is also quite breathable, due to the fact that it's fairly light.

According to the tag, this set should be handwashed only, and then allowed to line dry. Do not bleach, or iron, this set.

Sizing:
Seven 'Til Midnight has made this item available in four different sizes: small, medium, large, and extra large. I purchased this in the large.

The size chart states that a large should fit someone that falls into the following range:
Cups: C-D
Bust: 36-38"
Waist: 28-30"
Hips: 38-40"

I wear a 34d bra, and have a 32" waist and 40" hips. The pants fit me, but I don't think they would fit any larger the size chart dictates. The top, on the other hand, could easily fit someone a few inches larger than me.

Design:
This set is really basic; almost to the point of being plain. It's just black fabric with some pink trim. The pink trim is found on the bottom of the pants, the cuffs of the shirt, and on the front of the shirt. The pink trim is also found on the pocket of the shirt.

The pants feature a drawstring waistband, which makes it easy to get the proper fit for you. The pants are comfortable, but they don't really do much for my figure. Instead of feeling cute in them, I feel kind of boxy, due to the way that they lay on me.

The shirt... cute in theory, but it doesn't do a thing for me. When I put the shirt on with the pants, I feel silly, instead of sexy or cute. It would be good for chilly nights, however. Anyway, the shirt has a little collar, and then a button front. The buttons can be buttoned up to the point that you don't really show any skin, or you can choose to show a little and leave a few buttons undone. The shirt does feature an adorable little pocket, as well.

I don't know what it is about this set, but I just feel ridiculous in it. It's comfortable, but it's definitely not sexy. It also definitely does not flatter my curvaceous figure.

Quality:
Honestly? The quality is a major disappointment. I have counted over 100 loose threads on the set that I received, and the seams on the shirt feel as though they might come apart if you look at them wrong. I know everyone else says this set is high quality, but for me? It was a total bust.

I'm giving this 3 stars, and I feel that even that is being generous. The main reason that it gets three stars is that it is comfortable, and the seams in the pants feel sturdy.

These just have never got any use from me. I don't feel sexy in them, and they're not the most comfortable pajamas that I own. I also thought that the quality is really cheap; they just don't seem like they're meant to last.

All in all, I regret buying these.
