Lovely innocence garter slip and thong - chemise discontinued by DreamGirl - review by Ansley

I love babydolls, garters, chemises...anything that falls into that category. They're always super comfortable and there's usually some room to play if you don't fall into the manufacturer's specific measurements for that size. This is another one of those pieces. I bought this and the Honeymoon Sweet Babydoll at the same time and I like the Lovely Innocence slip and thong much, much better. Even my husband, who is a die-hard sheer/mesh/fishnet fan likes this one more than the honeymoon babydoll. Which came as a complete surprise to me! I really expected it to be the other way around.

This set includes the slip, the thong and the garter clips. The clips have ribbons sewn into them to keep the bridal theme going and can be removed from the garment. This is very helpful if you prefer to wear thigh highs that have silicone lining the top to keep them from falling down (they're often too thick to squeeze into a garter clip), or if you're just short, like me. They are super easy to remove and very difficult to keep track of if you don't have a safe spot for them to go. You can store those in a zip-top sandwich bag in your dresser, if you don't toss them out.

Anyway. This out fit is super comfortable. I mean, like lay around in bed all day, never worry about it riding up or twisting around on your body comfortable, especially when the garters are removed. The straps are adjustable and are pretty easy to move around but they stay in place and don't slip when they aren't supposed to.

It is a poly/spandex blend. It should be washed by hand to prevent the material stretching or tearing in the machine and then you can toss it in the dryer for a few minutes on low heat to get most of the moisture out. If you over-dry the garment, there will be a ton of static afterwards.

Overall, it's really well made. There aren't any loose threads and everything is sewn tightly with a pretty thick seam. It stretches nicely and hugs curves and the little skirt highlights the booty and draws attention there. You can pair this with a set of thigh highs and you're good to go!

I ordered the small and it fits me perfectly and I think I could gain a few pounds and it would still be really comfortable and stretch to fit, but not be too tight.

And this is really the first set where I didn't mind the bows. They aren't prominent or scene-stealing (like being placed between the cups). It's really soft and doesn't scratch my skin. I wear it at a few times a month and it'll be in rotation until something even better rolls out. The thong fits quite snugly so if your bottom doesn't fit into a small, you might want to search out a different pair of panties to wear with it. But, I like how they hug me and they're also really comfy and there's a little bit of stretch to them. There's a cotton liner, but again it's so small that it's really kind of pointless so I cut it out with a pair of scissors. The effect is much nice as you can see the whole area instead of just part of it.



Because the set includes adjustable garters, a woman of just about any height would be pleased with this purchase. It really is sexy and demure all at once, because you can only see a little bit of skin. Leaving a little bit to the imagination never hurt anyone!
