Thigh high stockings with back seam - thigh highs discontinued by Coquette - review by SubmissiveFeminist

I took a chance with this product and was unfortunately disappointed with its construction and fit. As cute as these are, I really can't even bring myself to wear them much. In fact, I do plan on altering these into knee-high stockings to wear under boots.



The stockings are a very-sheer black and made of a soft nylon material. The top is seamed in red and has a small red bow on each stocking. The back of the tops are reinforced with a gripping plastic inside to help hold these up without the need of a garter.

Now, these are not intended for plus-size, which I am, but I took a chance and went for it, seeing as a lot of regular stockings do fit me. These, unfortunately, are not included in that category. The reinforced tops did not want to stay up and kept rolling down my leg to my knees, which disappointed me. Even with a garter, these just did not want to stay, and caused a problem for me.

It's a real shame because I found these stocking to be incredibly comfortable and cute. However, the sizing issue and construction did not make these to be the best pair of stockings I own. I found that during use of these, the top stitching became undone and started ripping without much effort. Bits of the stocking also frayed quite quickly.



I was very disappointed at how short-lived these stockings were. However, like I stated before, I plan on altering these. I am going to carefully remove the stitching on the top and reinforce it to a lower point in the stocking and make these knee-highs, since the fabric is very comfortable and cute.



Aside from the top design, these stocking also have a darkened foot-area and a slight heel design. Not as obvious as the Cuban heel design, but still visible. They also have a backseam, which can be good or bad depending on whether or not you like that. For me, it was a nice touch, but some just don't like the look of it.

I really hope my alterations of this product work for me because I don't like buying things I don't find any use of, and they are so damn cozy. If you are a smaller build, these may fit better, and some doubling over with a sewing machine may help the construction issues. I'd say avoid these altogether, but if you want to risk it or don't mind some personal alterations, then go for it. Hopefully they work better for you than they did for me.

I've worn these once since my original review, and I did not like them one bit. The seams are very weak and fabric ran easily. Very disappointed, since these were so pretty.
