Chained desire dress - mini dress discontinued by Escante - review by deltalima

I'm always impressed with Escante's quality and designs and I was so excited to try this lace dress. It also comes with a matching cotton crotch g string.

Both dress and g string are purple lace with a fuchsia trim. The front of the dress is a low cowl with a seam running across your chest. I find the seam a bit odd but I'm going to assume it helps with the way the cowl drapes. It doesn't do that much for me so instead, I tuck it under my chest. This provides a double layer of the lace and gives my chest a bit more cover.

This dress does not have underwires. I'm always going on and on about how I need support for my saggy pillows of a chest. But, I also trying things that catch my eye and being able to pull off looks that are usually reserved for behind closed doors. This dress falls under both. The main reason I wanted this was so that I had something bold for summer. I knew I'd be wearing it in public; I need to wear a bra or bandeau top with it. Either one usually has underwires/support so the lack of support from this dress is fixed.

The dress has spaghetti straps that criss-cross in the back. I find that the point of where they cross is a bit high. Even in the model's picture, they're higher than I like to have it. Since the straps are adjustable, you can change it to a better fit. There's a removable chain embellishment that hooks on the left side of the back of the dress, where the strap ends. The embellishments on it though are a bit boring. I think I'm going to look for something more sparkly to add. The quality of the chain is quite good, with a nice weight to them. It doesn't weigh down the dress when you wear it though.

Out of small, medium and large sizes available, I chose small based on the sizing chart. I weigh 120 pounds and it fits snugly but is still able to stretch out more. The length of this measured out to 25 inches when laid flat on the floor. I am 5'4" and it hits me right under my butt. Needless to say, I would not consider this a dress. But somehow, the model pulls it off!

M ♡ 6 - 10 size, B - C cup, 34 - 36 bust, 28 - 30 waist, 32 - 34 hip, 120 - 140 pounds

L ♡ 10 - 14 size, C - D cup, 36 - 38 bust, 32 - 34 waist, 34 - 36 hip, 140 - 160 pounds

This set is made from 11% nylon and 88% elastic. This allows for the dress and thong to be stretchy. It's recommended to avoid high heat. The label attached states that it should be machine washed separately in warm water. If you need to use bleach, use non-chlorine bleach. Based on their care suggestions, do not wring or twist this and line dry. If you're going to iron this, set the temperature to low. However, I would personally advise against it. Any heat is going to cause the elastic fibers to come apart faster.

Even though the length was short, even on me, I think a 5 star rating is appropriate because the quality is great and what you see in the pictures provided by the company depicts the product accurately. I think it is a bit pricier than similar lace chemises or babydolls. But I'd still get this again.

The weather here doesn't allow me to wear this frequently, even indoors but I still love this 'dress'. The lace has held up with the few washings I have done.
