Disappointment on so many levels.

This doesn't fit the larger end of the size that it is supposed to nor is it metal boning. It ripped on me when I was trying to put it on. This is trash and not worth the price tag at all.

Pros
removable garters.
Cons
Boning is not real, sturdy metal boning. It feels like plastic. Also, the fabric ripped.

I am almost the exact measurements of the higher end of the XL size chart for Coquette which is a 34-36" waist and a 44-46" hip. The only difference is that my bust is larger, but that doesn't factor into the specific item because it is an underbust corset. I thought this wouldn't be able to lace all the way closed could still do the job as a corset. I also am very experienced with metal boned corsets, and this was listed as such, so I knew that it should work perfectly.

Notice all these shoulds? This corset was a disappointment. If the boning is actually metal then it is the thinnest metal boning I have ever felt. Really, I think it is plastic. The corset also couldn't fit over my hips without ripping out the seam near the boning on the side. The fabric is too thin to actually stand up to cinching at all. Corsets that are made to really cinch are always made out of a heavy fabric that won't rip easily. This is a super thin polyester satin with a mesh that the sequins are sewn to on top of it. Neither fabric is thick enough to support cinching.

The front clasps are the small hooks and eyes that are on a bra. They are too small to use easily on a corset and the don't stand up to cinching like they are supposed to.

This did come with a package of removable garters with was nice, but that is the only good thing I have to say about this. Coquette really disappointed me with this.

I guess this is going to work if you are on the smaller end of the size chart and aren't looking for any real cinching. I just wouldn't bother. It is cheaply made and overpriced. Perhaps I received one with a defect, but I don't care enough to deal with trying to get it replaced.

If you are going to purchase this, hand wash and dry flat; anything else will damage it.
Experience
I had been lusting after this for months, but I wish I had never purchased it. It is such a waste. I am sure that the boning in this is plastic, and if it is metal, it is the thinnest, cheapest metal boning ever. I couldn't get it over my hips which are 46" which is within the size chart. Instead, the fabric ripped.

I am really thinking about giving up on Coquette because this is the second thing I have purchased from them that ripped like this.
Follow-up commentary
This was such a disappointment. I wore it once to a Rocky Horror party and have since given it away. It's not at all substantial and didn't pull me in at all. I am so glad to be rid of it.
