Vintage Rose chemise - chemise discontinued by Coquette - review by Pete's Princess

I was not very interested in this Chemise at first. I thought it was OK and just went on by. I love the new Spring/Summer line by Coquette but this was not at the top of my list. You may be wondering why I bought this then. I am very interested in reading reviews from other great reviewers, so I read all of the reviews in a Weekly Review Rumble (available in the Forum). There was an amazing review of this chemise. That review made me take a second look, and ultimately place an order. I am very happy I did. It looks great on and is so comfortable that you can wear it all night long.

It comes packaged in a clear plastic resealable bag with Coquette in silver across it.

A hang tag attached showing the model wearing the chemise on the front and on the inside. On the back is the item description, bar code and washing instructions.There is also a hang tag for Coquette's donation of part of the proceeds from the Spring/Summer line to Save the Ta Tas (breast cancer research). Also attached are the garters in a small plastic zip-lock baggie.



The chemise is a mauve color with raspberry trim. Down the center of the front is a darker colored mauve solid fabric that is covered with a lighter mauve rose-patterned lace. There is very little give or stretch to this material. It is not see through.




The same material is used for the lower 1/3 of the cups. Then there is a raspberry colored trim. The upper 2/3 of the cups are a see-through light mauve mesh material. This material is connected along the side. This portion is very stretchy.



The bottom is trimmed with gathered rose see-through lace. At the end of each vertical raspberry trim is a small raspberry colored bow. These bows are not removable.


The remainder of the body is see through mesh.




The back has a bra clasp with two hook and eye closures. It there are three columns of eyes that allow you to adjust the band up to 1".

Actual Sizes for the Chemise
Cup size will fit C up to DD easily. It is possible for those who are larger to also fit into this due to the upper portion being so stretchy.
Band width stretches form 29-39".
Waist stretches from 28"-35"
Hips stretches from 36"-40"
Removable garters stretch from 6"-9"

Material and Care
This is 82% Nylon and 18% Spandex exclusive of trim. Nylon will melt when exposed to heat so never wash in anything but cold water. The washing recommendations are to hand wash only and hang dry. Do not bleach or put in the dryer.

Since most of this is see through, I did not feel comfortable posting pics of me wearing it. I did take a few but they were too revealing for me to post. It does look great. The middle section not being see through will hide any tummy issues that you may have while still revealing all the other parts. I especially like the cups on this chemise. The bottom gives great support while the top gives plenty of room so you are not spilling out the top. You can bend over or move in any way and you will not find yourself popping out of the top. Since it is see through it does show off your breasts well while keeping a small bit of modesty.

The material is so soft and stretchy, I did not want to take this off. You can wear this to sleep in. It did not bunch up or ride up while I was sleeping or playing. I am not huge fan of bows between the breasts. The raspberry bow is a bit large for me, but my sweetie likes it. Being removable, I can wear the bow for him then remove it when I want to go to sleep.

I did not wear this with the garters or stockings and had no problem with it staying in place while I moved. I know this can be a concern with some chemise.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this fit. It is hard when you measurements are a bit out of proportion and your breasts fall into a totally different size than the rest of you. Because it is so stretchy, it fit well all the way around.

Since it has so much give you may want to order down a size if you are on the border between sizes. I would not recommend the Large if you are smaller than a C cup. I could have easily fit into the medium.

The quality was wonderful. All seams were well finished and there were no loose threads. I did not notice any flaws.

The only drawback I found was there was no matching panty. I tried it with the Raspberry Fields Panty, but I did not think the combination looked very good. I am not sure if Coquette sells a matching panty or not but I will check. If I find that it does, I will update you on that.

I want to thank Surreptitious for her great review. I read her review as it was nominated for one of the weekly rumbles a while back. After seeing her pictures and reading the review, I reconsidered this chemise that I had written off. I am still glad that I got this. It is very sexy and super comfortable. This is a favorite when I want something sexy to sleep in. It is great to wear in the summer because it is light and keeps you cool.

I like to take this along on trips because it takes up very little room in my overnight bag. When you pull it out you do not have to worry about wrinkles, just slip it on.
