Opaque knee high - knee highs discontinued by Music legs - review by Breas

The Opaque Knee Highs by Music Legs are available only in one-size-fits-most and in the colours red, white, black, or pink. I own every colour but will be taking measurements/photos of the pink pair.

The stockings arrived in a plastic packaging with a cardboard label wrapped around the stockings. The front of the cardboard states the company name, product name, and has a photo of a model wearing the stockings. The back of the cardboard states the company website, material composition of the stockings, suggest height and weight brackets for the one-size-fits-most, and the care instructions for the stockings in symbols. The packaging is not ideal for storing the stockings. I prefer to keep my stockings in my sock drawer.



Inside of the packaging, the stockings are wrapped around a thin piece of cardboard. The knee-highs are 100% nylon and are very stretchy in both width and length. The stockings do not have design to them. They are solid coloured opaque stockings with no back seam. I’ve taken measurements of the stockings laying flat. If you need additional measurements, let me know and I can get them for you.

The band on the stocking is a double layer of material and is quite thick (see photo below). The rest of the stocking is also a thicker nylon compared to other stockings I have worn in the past. The material seems quite durable, which is surprising considering the extremely low cost of the stockings.



The packaging states that the one-size-fits-most is best suited for those between the height 5’-5’10”. I’m 5’6 in height so I’m right in the middle of that bracket. The suggest weight bracket for the stockings is 100-175lbs. I’m a bit above 160lbs so I’m on the higher end of the weight bracket but still within it.

I decided to purchase these stockings because I don’t have many pairs of knee-highs but have an over abundance of thigh highs. The one thing I can’t stand about a lot of my thigh highs is that the band rolls and the stockings tend to fall down my legs without garter straps. With these knee-highs, I don’t have to wear about rolling bands or falling stockings because they just don’t do that. The knee-highs would be a great bedroom outfit accessory or would look great beneath a skirt/dress/shorts when out in public.

The length of the stockings fit me well but I have a hard time believing that the length is suitable for those who are 5’10”. I could be wrong, but I had to stretch the stockings quite a bit in length to reach the desired area. I measured from my heel to the back of my knee and the length is approximately 16 ½ inches. The stockings fit well in width because they are so stretchy. I have thick legs so I’m usually more worried about width than length. Below are a couple photos of the stockings on my legs. You can see in the photos that while they’re not completely opaque, they’re pretty close.



The material to the stocking is soft and comfortable when worn. I have no complaints about skin irritation while wearing the stockings. The tops of my calves have a circumference of 14 ½ inches and the band was not too tight or uncomfortable on me. The stockings do not have any reinforcement in the toes but the stockings are quite thick anyway.

The packaging has the care instructions stated in symbols. After looking online for the meanings of these symbols, I’ve gathered that they should be hand washed in cold water, not bleached, not dry cleaned, and not ironed. There is a symbol of a shirt that is hung up, which I assume means to hang the stockings to dry. I can’t confirm this though since I haven’t found that symbol online.

I’ve given these stockings a 5 out of 5 because they’re comfortable, a great price, available in many colours, and look great. I’d definitely recommend these stockings to anyone interested in an inexpensive, durable pair of knee-highs.

I still love these knee highs! They've held up well and are still in great condition. I'd love to see more colours become available, especially at the excellent price of $3.99. I'm still very happy with these knee highs and would recommend them to others.
