Halter bustier by Coquette - review by oopsy

I LOVE this bustier! It's sexy, and classy. It's covering enough to wear out as an under garment as well.
It arrived wrapped in bright pink tissue paper and the only tag was attached with a safety pin. It's packaged in a very elegant way, the tag pictures the same model as on the product page. Also attached is a tiny plastic bag with the four garter straps. Those straps are adjustable and feature a classic removable clip for the top and to attach to stockings. The straps are sexy and simple black with a hint of a pattern on the elastic so they will work with any stocking you choose. It comes completely ready to be given as a gift if you want.

The back closes with 15 hook and eye fixtures, and because there is no way to tighten or change the sizing, it can be quite a pain to get all of these things on(and get them off!) I ordered a large and it fit me really well.The bottom was a bit snug, but the top allowed for lots of room, also the tie can adjust that.
There are two sets of clasps, just like the back of a bra all the way up the back, so if you want it tighter or looser you can.

There were some parts that looked a little cheaply made to me, like the bow in the front


and the halter tie, when it changes from the velvet mesh to the tie


The ribbing is plastic, but it's very supportive without being cutting. It doesn't looked strained, so I doubt it will pop out the top or the bottom like some cheaper corsets do. The halter tie is very sexy as well and it does a great job at hiding that awkward part where breast meets arm.
I have found that if it is worn when you're moving around a lot, the back bunches up and pops away from your body in a weird way, but it can be fixed by tugging it into place again, and it allows for a lot more movement than most other bustiers in my experience.

There is no underwire, and the padded cups do not provide much support at all, so if you are the kind of person who needs a lot of support to feel comfortable, look elsewhere. The inside of the cups are rather soft though and they are covering while still being low cut. The tie behind the neck also allows for more movement in this way.


This is a spot clean item only. For sure do not try to put this piece in a washing machine. The velvet pattern on the hearts does tend to attract lint, but it can be cleaned with a bit of tape or a lint roller. Because its black, it doesn't really show many other marks, but some warm water and maybe a little soap should clean it well.

For the price, and how it looks, it's a fantastic buy. It has a lot of character, with the ruffled trim at the bottom and the velvet boning running up and down, the little heart pattern is so sexy looking on. It is transparent, but covering around the cups, so it can even be worn under a wrap if you're feeling daring.

Overall, a fantastic buy, and if you like the busy and elegant patterning, go for it!
