Perfect pleasure chemise - chemise discontinued by DreamGirl - review by Breas

The Perfect Pleasure Chemise by DreamGirl is available in sizes S-3X/4X. I had purchased the size XL. The outfit arrived on a clothes hanger and was surrounded by plastic. The plastic is transparent and does not have any text or images on it. There were two cardboard tags attached to the chemise. One tag states the material composition and the company contact information. The other tag has an image of a model wearing the outfit and states the company name, website, product colour, and size. The included hanger can be used for storage or the outfit can be folded and placed in a drawer.



Both chemise and thong are 90% nylon and 10% spandex. The cups to the chemise are not stretchy but the rest of the outfit is. The sides, back, and cups of the chemise are sheer. There is a panel that runs vertically down the centre front of the piece that is not sheer. You can see below that my hand is beneath the panel as well as the sheer mesh material beside it.



The thong is the same material as this panel. The waistband to the thong is elastic so it’s extra stretchy. The colour of the outfit is more of a fuchsia colour (pinkish purple) than what is shown in the stock photo.



I’ve taken a few measurements of the outfit laying flat, both stretched and not stretched. If you need any other measurements please send me a message, as I’d be happy to get them for you.

Chemise
Cup length: 9 ¾ inches

Length (armpit to bottom): 18 inches
Width of bottom of chemise: 21 ¾ inches

There is lacing down the centre back of the chemise. The lacing is done up with black ribbon. The width of the chemise can be adjusted by loosening or tightening the lacing if you need to. When I had taken the measurements above, the lacing was done up the way it had arrived, which was with a 1 inch gap between the area. The ribbon isn’t very long so you can’t add a lot of width if you need it but you could always replace the ribbon with a longer piece.

The cups are a purple netting material with black coloured designs on them. There is no padding or underwire to the cups of this outfit. There is a seam that runs vertically up the centre of each cup and a bow made of ribbon that sits between them. The bow is small but can be removed if you don’t like it. It’s sewn on with a single stitch. You wouldn’t even need a seam ripper to remove it- scissors would work. You may want to add a few more stitches to the bow if you like it since it’s not well secured to the outfit. The shoulder straps are adjustable in length but not detachable. They can be adjusted from 8 ½ to 16 inches in length.



The chemise has 4 removable, adjustable garter straps to it. There are 2 in the front and 2 in the back. You can wear the chemise with or without the garter straps since they are removable. You’ll need to have your own pair of stockings though since the outfit does not include any. The bottom of each garter strap attaches to the stocking with a plastic piece that has a rubber backing.

Each garter strap has a black ribbon at the bottom of it, which covers the plastic and rubber attachment. The straps can be adjusted from 4 ¾ to 7 ½ inches long. There is a frill trim along the bottom of the chemise that measures 1 ¼ inches in length. The trim hides the loops that you attach the garter straps to.



The DreamGirl size chart suggests that the size XL is best suited for those with a cup size of D/E, a hip measurement between 40-42 inches, and a weight of between 160-180lbs. I wear a C cup with a size 38 bra band, my hip measurement is 41 ½ inches, I weighed in the high 160’s the last time I checked, and my height is 5’6”. My chest is a cup size smaller than what the company suggests but I know from past experience with the brand that their cup sizes (usually) run a bit small.

The thong fit me fine, except the material that covers the front area is narrow. The widest part of the material is 4 ¾ inches and I need at least 5 inches of material to cover my front area. It’s not a huge deal because it’s not as narrow as some of the panties I’ve received but I figured it’s still worth noting. The waistband to the thong is extremely stretchy (see measurements above) and it fit me nicely. I didn’t have any muffin top from the waistband. It was really comfortable.

The chemise also fit me nicely. Surprisingly, the cups would fit a D or E cup comfortably. My C’s fit into the cups but I found them to be a bit lengthy. I had to adjust the shoulder straps so they were the shortest length possible. Without shortening the straps, the sides of the cups looked a bit baggy on me.

My height wasn’t an issue for the chemise. Without the garter straps, the front of the outfit covered my crotch and the back of the outfit fell just above the bottom of my bum cheeks. When I attached the garter straps to a pair of stockings, the straps pulled the chemise down a bit so that the back of the chemise covered my entire bum. I don’t wear garter straps often but this is an outfit that I prefer to wear with them.

The quality of the outfit is good. There were a few loose strands of thread but nothing that couldn’t be snipped off with a pair of scissors. As I had mentioned, you’ll want to better secure the bow between the cups if you like it because it’s attached with a single stitch. The comfort level of the outfit is excellent. The mesh material of the chemise is really soft against the skin. I like that the cups are a netting material instead of lace because lace cups tend to irritate my nipples. I didn’t experience any skin irritation while wearing this outfit. The care tag states that the outfit should be hand washed in cold water and line dried.

Overall, I really like it! It’s comfortable, pretty, and available in a wide variety of sizes. While it would have been nice if there were different colour options, I love the fuchsia colour of this outfit! The only suggestion I can think of that would make the outfit better is if they were to include a pair of stockings to attach the garter straps to.
