Ruffle mesh top with panty - sexy camisole by Leg Avenue - review by Jul!a

I normally don't like ruffles, on pretty much anything. They always seemed way too girly to me. But the mannequin had such a way with this outfit, I had to try it out for myself.

The packaging was pretty much what you'd expect from Leg Avenue, little box with a picture of the model in one position on the front of the box, different position on the back of the box. The back also gives you the materials list as well as their generic washing instructions.

This set unfortunately only comes in a one size fits most. For Leg Avenue "one size" means you should be a size 6-11, A-C cup, 32-38" bust, 23-29" waist, and 34-40" hips. Personally I'm about 5'2, I weigh about 105, around my bust measures 31" and underneath measures about 28 1/2". I've got about a 25" waist with 33" hips and I wear a B cup. Everything was very comfortable on me, nothing felt too tight or too loose.

The top is a halter style, and quite possibly the most fantastic shade of fuchsia I've ever seen on clothing. It's bright while at the same time not overwhelmingly so. Everywhere there's an edge, it's lined with black. Each strap is black and measures 20" laid flat, and stretch up to 36". From the bottom of the top to the top of the back measures just over 9" and from the bottom to the top of the front measures just over 13". Along the bottom edge measures 16" laid flat and stretches up to 24". The seam under the bust measures 13" laid flat and stretches up to 20". Along the top of the bust from strap to strap measures 10" laid flat and stretches up to 16". The total bust area is just under 5" deep and features the aforementioned ruffles. There are 4 rows of ruffles, the top and third being made of a pink lace and the 2nd and last being made of the same material the rest of the set is made of. In the middle of the top is a little black lace bow that is just over 2" at its widest.

The panties have the same design as the top, fuchsia mesh with black accents. The back of the panties features the same 4 rows of ruffles with only the top row extending all the way around. The lining around the leg openings is the same material the straps on the top are made of. When laid flat, measuring across the top band is just about 13 1/2" and stretches all the way up to 19". From top to the middle of the crotch measures just under 8". Each leg opening also measures 8" long and stretches up to 13".

Overall the set feels pretty sturdy. I would avoid being any rougher than necessary, but you won't tear it to shreds just by sneezing.

The back of the box says that this set is made from 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex, hand wash separately, drip dry, do not bleach. There is one tag located on the inside of the top that I would almost recommend just cutting out as it just relists the materials and only lists washing instructions in Spanish and is pretty itchy.

For storage you can keep this set anywhere you keep your delicates. I personally keep mine in a ziploc bag stored in with all my other ziploc bags of lingerie.

I really like.. aspects of this set. The top was not a huge winner for me, but the underwear far surpassed my expectations.

This set sort of passes the extended wear test. I wore it out for about 6 or 7 hours and felt no discomfort whatsoever except for the tag on the seam of the inside of the top being pretty itchy.

Now for my issue with the top. No matter how many times I tugged it back down or retied the straps. I still couldn't get the seam that indicates "bottom of bust" to actually fall underneath my bust, and I'm not a very busty girl. However, this is really just more of a personal issue than anything else I think. When the seam is underneath your bust the ruffles will do a pretty decent job of covering your nipples, but when it rides up you will be able to see them pretty easily. If you're like me and like to have complete control over when your nipples debut themselves, then this top will probably frustrate you as well. However if that isn't a problem for you then it really is a great set to buy. And when I went and took a closer look at the picture on the mannequin, one of her boobs is wearing it "right" while the other one it's ridden up.

The panties were really sweet. Surprisingly see through, until I put them on. If you have darker skin you're still going to be able to see that through these, but not necessarily in great detail, and tattoos. Those will still be visible through these. They, just like every other pair of cute underwear that comes in a lingerie set, is lacking in a crotch liner. Which sucks, because if it had one, I would toss these in with my regular underwear.

I think this is a really cute set that will work amazingly for those who can fit into it. I went back and forth for a while on how many stars to give it exactly and for right now I'm stuck at 3 1/2, which would be like a solid B-, but I can't find enough things wrong with it to round down, so I round up and give this set 4 stars.

Even though I've gained a little bit of weight and added a few inches since I first bought this, it still fits comfortably. With the current size of my lingerie collection it doesn't get worn very often, but I don't plan on getting rid of it for a while. It's held up to a washing or two, and I'm still not completely thrilled with the way the top lays, but I still enjoy having it.
