Red flawless chemise - chemise discontinued by Seven 'til Midnight - review by SMichelle

Seven 'Til Midnight calls this the Flawless Chemise, but that name is not exactly accurate. I do like this chemise, but it has some definite flaws. I got this on sale for under $15, so I really can't complain. Even at full price, this chemise is worth what you pay for it.

Basics:
This comfy chemise is made by Seven 'Til Midnight. I purchased the red chemise, but this is also available in black, and white, so there's three colors to choose from.

The chemise does not come with an included g-string or thong. For the purchase price, you simply get the chemise.

For those curious about where the item was made, the tag states that this was made in China.

Material & Care:
This chemise is made out of 97% Polyester, and 3% Spandex. As you might have guessed by the low amount of spandex in this chemise, this piece doesn't really have a lot of stretch. There are, however, pieces of elastic sewn into the piece, which provide a limited amount of stretch around the top band, and under the bust.

The fabric is very thin and breathable. In fact, it feels a lot like wearing nothing at all, yet it still provides coverage to all of the areas that require coverage. The interior of the lingerie feels soft, yet slightly rough; don't worry about it being irritating, though! It's definitely not irritating. In fact, it's surprisingly comfortable. The exterior of the item has a very silky, smooth feel to it. The exterior also has a bit of a shine to it.

The top of the cups is bordered with lace. The lace feels durable, but it's definitely not the highest of quality. The lace is not itchy against my skin, though it's also not the softest lace that I've felt.

To care for this item, it's recommended that you hand wash it in cold water, and then line dry. You should not use bleach this piece. You also should avoid ironing it. Personally, I throw this in the washing machine's delicate cycle (with a mesh lingerie bag), and so far it's survived just fine.

Sizing:
This item is available in a wide variety of sizes, including: S, M, L, XL, 1X/2X, and 3X/4X. I purchased this in a large, which was the right choice for me.

The size chart states that a large should fit someone that falls into the following range:
Cups: C-D
Bust: 36-38"
Waist: 28-30"
Hips: 38-40"

I personally wear a 34d bra. My waist measures 32", and my hips are 40". This chemise fit me well enough.

If you're trying to decide what size to purchase, I'd say don't worry so much about your hips and waist. The hips and waist areas of this chemise are sort of flowing, so this can fit a few inches larger than the size chart, in that respect. Instead, you're going to want to focus on your cup size. For me, my d-cups seem to be really pushing it with this chemise; it'd definitely be better suited to someone with a smaller bust. I mean, it fit, but I had a little bit of side boob going on.

As far as length is concerned? I love the length of this chemise! I'm 5'6", and this chemise came to about mid-thigh length for me. The length is perfect!

Design:
This chemise may not be the sexiest, but it's certainly good for sleeping in!

Let's begin with the shoulder straps. The shoulder straps are not removable, but they are adjustable. They're also comfortable. My only complaint about the straps is that they're quite thin, which makes me think they might not hold up to the test of time.

Next, we have the bust. The bust is not padded at all, and there is no underwire. There is, however, an elastic band that goes under each cup. Sadly, that seam does not seem to help offer much support at all. I bought this to sleep in, so I'm not overly concerned about the lack of support. If you plan to wear this as actual lingerie, you might be disappointed.

Another complaint that I have about the cups of this chemise involves the shape of them. The cups are triangular, which seems to mean that I get a lot of side boob. I do, however, like that the cups are bordered with a beautiful lace trim.

Flipping the chemise around to the back, there's an elastic band going across the top. The elastic band is comfortable, and it seems to help ensure that the piece fits properly.

There isn't a lot to say about the lower half of the chemise. The lower half isn't body hugging, and it doesn't really do much for my shape. It is, however, perfect to sleep in due to the fact that the design doesn't restrict my movement.

Quality:
The quality is decent for the price. I did notice some loose threads, but the overall sewing is fantastic.

This isn't my sexiest piece of lingerie, but it is incredibly comfortable. I have slept in this several times, and so it has been washed many times. It's held up well, and I will definitely be purchasing another one.
