Lycra bra and skirt - bra and panty set discontinued by Coquette - review by djande01

Today, I am writing my very first lingerie review (YAY!). My first received item was the Lycra Bra and skirt from Coquette. When I got it out, it wasn't quite what I was expecting. I've always bought Lycra boyshorts and consider them to be very durable (some of those skivies have even lasted me a couple years without any wear or tear). Not the case with this item. The fabric is incredibly fragile, like very soft netting. I would not only wash it inside out (as to not mess with the bows), but I would also hand wash it.

The panties are incredibly comfortable. They have a bit of a stretch, but not an uncomfortable stretch, like it's cutting your circulation. I got the Mediums, and I am a bit bottom-heavy but they fit me like a glove. The bra is a tad uncomfortable. When it comes to lingerie, I love a bra that not only looks good, but also serves it's function (AKA making the girls look good as well as supporting them). I don't know if it's just me (I am INCREDIBLY picky when it comes to bras), but the bra doesn't serve it's function very well. If I move around too much, even as much as lifting my arm, the cup will slip over my breast, even when it's on the tightest notch. I've tried adjusting it a bit to make the underwire a little bit more supportive to me, but nothing has worked very well, and I'm not a big fan of wardrobe malfunctions.

I love the colors. It's black which adds a dark, sexy vibe, but has a bit of pink showing through, along with pink bows, which gives it a slight innocent appeal. It also comes in green and black, which just makes it a straight-up temptress outfit (without the innocence). It goes great either with black knee high boots or black stilettos/pumps. Either way, my boyfriend enjoyed watching me cook in it. :o) It has removable garters on it so one could add stockings to the look. However, I haven't tried stockings, and don't happen to have any, so I haven't attempted using the garters.

Another thing I thought I should add, is that although the bra can be worn under clothing, the skirt makes it really hard to wear the whole ensemble under clothing (probably would have to tuck it into jeans, which would make it quite difficult to come out of the restroom looking slightly like a mess).
