Vintage doll garter chemise & g-string - chemise discontinued by Fantasy Lingerie - review by js250

The Vintage Doll chemise arrived on a plastic hanger and inside a clear plastic bag. It was strikingly pretty, with the ice-blue satin and light ivory/white lace. I immediately had to wear this and see what my husband thought about the different style.

The adjustable shoulder straps are very necessary in order to get the proper fit for the bust area. The garter straps are adjustable as well, but I ended removing mine with a pair of scissors. I found that the length on my 5'2" height was nicely long at upper knee to lower thigh. There is no way I would be able to pair some stockings and have them hit the garter straps at a point that looked good. (I am just not too into knee highs, lol!)

The bust area actually fit very well, if not a bit loosely. I am 43D, so this was a pleasant surprise, and also why I ordered an XL instead of my usual L or M. The length was perfect for lounging around the house, which was all I was able to do the first time I wore this. The length of the back has hook and eye closures, which can be tricky, but the fabric was loose enough I could close them and then step into it to pull it on. I really had a nice loose fit, so the sizing is pretty close on this outfit.

There is a slight bit of stretch with the lace, but not the blue satin. However, please check out the seams prior to trying this on. My chemise had the seam on the front right completely come undone. The lace was sewn to just the very first row of satin, catching by a couple of threads and it came apart and left an unsightly unravel along the edge of the material. I ended up hand-sewing the whole seam on that side. The seam on the other side was close, but acceptable.

This is a very figure flattering chemise, it hides my stomach pooch, love handles and really pushes my breasts together to form a very hot and sexy cleavage. Even with the wonky seam, this is a definite must have for me!! I could not believe the fit and sexiness of this pretty chemise.

The material is lace, nylon, spandex and satin. The outfit is soft, sexy and very comfortable. The satin is sleek and smooth, the lace is soft and stretchy and the combinations of the two will make you feel very sexy and seductive. I love the color, it is an ice blue--very sweet but naughty.

Hand wash this chemise in warm water with a mild detergent and let it air dry. If you do get a few wrinkles in the satin material, you may run a warm iron over it--I recommend putting a cloth between the iron and the satin material.

Hang this in your closet, folding and placing in your lingerie drawer will leave wrinkles in your satin area.

Now that I have repaired the seams, the other one was ready to go as well, this is starting to become one of my better liked chemises. I will not say it will be a favorite, I really hate to sew by hand!!

The comfort and roominess is what really gets my attention. Finally, my boobs do not have to double as contortionists just to fit!! The length will be really nice when the weather starts to get a bit cooler--no frozen buns from the half moon!!

My husband is really liking the new color, red and black, which seem to be the majority for colors, gets to be a bit....predictable. I would say, go ahead, take a chance. Just really check the seams and be prepared to possibly do some preventative maintenance--of course, your husband might like that about as much as mine did....when he realized the view and access was gone he pouted until I gave him something else to see!!
