Rhinestone backseam stockings - stockings discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Jul!a

I already own a few pairs of sheer black stockings, but when I saw a pair available that had basically been bedazzled, I couldn't resist making them mine.

And now on to some of the specifics, I'll get to my own experience in that section.

Use: Some people enjoy wearing thigh highs for extra arousal before, during, or after sex. Others like to wear them out and about for an extra "sexy" feeling. These are great for anybody who likes to add an extra bit of 'flair' to an outfit, because the backseam is actually an illusion of a seam made out of rhinestones.

Packaging: Again, this set of stockings gave nothing extra or special with its packaging. 'Twas a little black cardboard package with a cardboard insert inside a plastic bag.

Material/Care: These rhinestone backseam stockings are made out of 100% nylon according to the back of the package. The instructions say to hand wash separately, drip dry, and do not bleach. They make no mention whatsoever of what the rhinestones are made of, and I'm only curious because I have a problem of having to know everything about everything.

Design: The design of these is very basic: black stocking, no fancy top. But the rhinestones add an extra bit of flair that made up for the boring design. The rhinestones are just glued on as well, nothing fancy. These stockings also come in white and red for those of you who might think black is just too dark.

Crafstmanship: Overall I thought these were made very well. They didn't bunch up around my ankles when I wore them out, I managed to keep them on underneath a pair of thermals and jeans and didn't knock any of the rhinestones off. They didn't stretch in the wrong places. I definitely feel that the tops could use some more reinforcement. Maybe a cross between this and the lace top, because these stayed up fantastically, except that since the top has no real stricture to it other than just being an inch and a half deep elastic band it had a tendency to just sort of, roll over onto itself.

Sizing: The sizing on the packaging says "one size fits most" with a "guide" of 90-160 pounds. I weigh about 105 and where I initially had the tops of these sitting is about 19.5" around. I found this to be a bit too tight after a while so I readjusted and moved them down a bit closer to my knee which measured a bit over 15" they were much more comfortable. I also managed to get the top to stretch to about 8 1/2" while they were being laid flat.

Storage: I personally keep mine in a sandwich sized Ziploc baggy in a box. But you can store yours anywhere else you normally keep dainty delicates.

Note: While I'm normally the biggest advocate of "f*** it, if you can't wash it with your regular laundry, it's not worth having," it is very important to note that the very cute rhinestones on the backs of these stockings will become very cute lint in the trap of your dryer if you actually attempt to run them through the regular wash. So this is one case where I say "definitely listen to the instructions."

So this pair of stockings went much better for me than the last pair from Leg Avenue. The big key here is that they stayed up!

I was a little sad that I had to end up pushing them farther down my leg, because according to the lady in the picture on the package, they should be darn near underneath my butt. But I've noticed that the "real" models wearing these still seem to be a bit biased.

As an experiment I wore one of these backwards, so that the "backseam" was running along the front of my leg, just because I wanted to see if these little rhinestones were painful or irritating in anyway. And you know what? I vote win because I couldn't feel them at all.

I put them on initially around 4 or so, and they didn't really start to bother me until around 6. When I got a chance to take them off around 11 I almost jumped at it, but I was easily able to wait a little longer so I could show my fiance. I was rather impressed with the fact that when I pulled down my thermal pants these stayed in place.

Now while I will definitely be wearing these again, I'm waiting (if I can be that patient) until EF can get this garterbelt back in stock, because I think they would be absolutely fantastic together.

Now personally I would have loved these even more if instead of there only being rhinestones down the backseam but if they were more spread out and scattered like an ice skater's costume if that makes sense.

When all is said and done, for the price, I don't think I could have gotten much better. I'll definitely be adding the other two colors to my collection.

They're still sparkly, they're still sexy, and I still can't wear them for extended periods of time. I've hand washed them a few times and they haven't come out any worse for the wear. I have noticed that if the skin on your legs is dry the stockings will catch all the flaky bits so keep your legs moisturized when wearing these. If you use a scented lotion you can even make the stockings scented, as the scent from some lotions is strong enough to stick to the material of the stockings.

Also, I did manage to get that garter belt I wanted, and these do look super hot with it ;)
