Gothic Beauty
As long as you heed the sizing information, this is a gorgeous versatile piece that has many uses and not just in the bedroom. Definitely worth the price!Published: June 22, 2009
Pros:
Beautiful colours and tight bustier feel.
Cons:
Coquette strange sizing, no give g-string.
The corset baby doll set by Coquette is a great find. The deep red of the bustier contrasts wonderfully with the filmy black of the cups and skirt. The bustier is not a real corset, with steel boning, but the busks at the front give it an authentic touch. They also help with keeping the bustier closed. The colours of this set are rich, but understated. The red is more of a blood red than a cherry colour. It would definitely be right at home in the bedroom, a fetish night, or a Goth club. The g-string is cute and adds just the right touch of fun to a more ‘regal’ outfit. The bustier is made of satin and it feels divine. The midnight black mesh is cool and soft which is a wonderful contrast to the bondage that the bustier provides. The g-string does not have a lot of give at all, so definitely take that into account when choosing sizes. The lacing in the back is strong, though the laces are satin, so I would be careful to not pull too hard.
Coquette has some amazing lingerie; their colours are always vibrant and lovely. The one complaint that I would have would be their sizing chart. After my previous experiences with the Raspberry Dream, I decided to order the next size up (medium). This also proved difficult. Coquette’s lingerie is definitely sized smaller than average. I am normally a 4 to 6 in jeans, and had difficulty fitting into this at first. Because the boning is not particularly strong, you have to be careful not to indulge too much or it will look wrong. The mesh of the peasant top does have some give, but not much.
Over all this was is a beautiful versatile outfit, that can be worn in many different venues.

Experience
When my partner and I received the Corset babydoll set, we were happy with how vibrant the colours appeared. The first time I put this on we had some fitting issues, but once the fabric gets a bit broken in it is a bit more giving. Breathing when standing up in this was not impeded at all. When I was laying down on my back I could feel it constricting my breathing somewhat, though not to an alarming level, just enough to let you know that it was doing its job. My partner absolutely loved how it looked on me, and I am sure that yours will love how it looks on you as well.

Coquette Size Chart
There's usually a link right about the size selections that says "size chart". Most of the lingerie companies have charts and they're all on one page in a list. The link automatically scrolls you down to where the company list is. -
These run fairly small, from what I've seen. You may want to buy a size up, if you purchase this set.

Thank you for viewing Corset style babydoll set – babydoll and panty set review page!

I'm a size 4-6 also. What size did you buy this in?
Nice review, this thing is cute
Hi NuMe - I apologize for the late reply - I bought the medium and it was definitely a bit snug. I would advise the large as Coquette tends to run small.
Thanks for the review!
