Great looking corset... but seriously lacking

Let me start off by saying, if you happen to be on the short side and not all that well endowed, then chances are you might love this corset. But if you are like me; tall, somewhat largerish tata's with some curves? Then I would strongly suggest looking at something else. It is a very beautiful corset, elegant, and the ruffles so work with it. Just not on a tall woman.

So let's start as always and get all the technical details over with so then I can tell you my experiences with this corset.

Colour: black
Material: stretchy mesh
Patterns: oodles of ruffles on bust and bottom trimming, velvet polka dot pattern on the body, velvet lining over the bones
Closing: bra clasping closure (eighteen of them, two rows, giving you one size, then one size up)
Boning: plastic
Extras: thick elastic waist line for added support, strapless, hooks for garters
Packaging: comes in a plastic bag with black elastic garters

In theory this corset is a work of art and I wish I was about four inches shorter. But that is a frequent wish of mine.

Onwards we go!!!

Many times those of us who shop in the plus sized sections of stores, we tend to shy away from ruffles as they seem to make us look even bigger, or they have ruffles in so totally the wrong places. But not the case in this corset. The ruffles make your breasts look more pronounced, and the bows can even be removed (fastened with a safety pin), although the one that rests between the cups I'd suggest keeping it, as it's kind of cute. And the ruffles around the bottom, do help with giving your body the much desired hour glass shape.

The mesh material is on the sexy side, the mesh is kind of scratchy, but the polka dots are velvety and soft! With the boning being plastic, it does not offer much support. And if you sneeze or bend and the corset moves with you, the plastic boning actually bends slightly. Around what should be the natural waist line for a normal/average sized (I'm talking height here!) women, there is a thick elastic band on the inside of the body for additional support. This band is a novel idea with the plastic boning.

Speaking of support, let's talk about the breast support. Ummm... well... er... there is no support I found with this corset. I am just over six foot, my breast size is a large C/small D and when I wear this corset, I have to make a choice. Cover my breasts, or cover my belly button. When I put this on to cover my breasts, there is seriously no support. I found the only way the cups did not fall all over the place was wearing a bra underneath. With or without a bra, the cups slipped all over the place.

Unfortunately, trying to wear this, it just does not work for me because of my height. If I wear this to cover my breasts, the thick elastic band around the waist is pressing in against my diaphragm. If I pull it down so the band is around my belly button, my breasts hang over the top.

I just cannot win.

The backing is a hook and eye closure or like a long line of bra claps. To put it in, you have to do it up then twist it till the clasps are over your back. Then quick word of advice twist your torso, swing your arms, get it to sit just right.

The garter belts that came with this, are cheap looking and don't do the corset itself justice. The corset looks high quality, but the garters just look cheap. And again, if you are tall, the garters just won't fit you.
Experience
I quite seriously saw this corset a few years ago long before I ever joined EdenFantasys and I fell in love with it. I thought it looked so elegant!!! I was crushed when I finally got my hands on mine. I am just too tall for it. I'm just too tall for most things.

I do have to say, that this corset can and will give you that hour glass shape that we all desire. It is a light support corset with no support for your breasts (unless you like the bouncing jigglies breasts do). Another thing the Boy Toy did not like about this, is the clasps at the back. He claimed they were not very attractive and hard to undo. If I am wearing this for funsies around the house, to remove it takes some contortion of twisting and turning to bring the clasps again to the front.

Unfortunately; I cannot tell you much about sizings as I've not been sized for anything in years. I design and make the majority of my clothes. But I can tell you that after I wear it, I take it to the shower, hold it against the wall, and hose it down with on the cooler side of warm water. If there is a stain, I take a soft bristled older toothbrush and gently rub a little. Lay it down flat , ruffle side up to air dry, occasionally stretching the elastic so it does not shrink.

If you are looking for a medium support corset, you are not considered tall, you want that hour glass shape, this might the corset you are looking for. If you are tall, have ample breasts, you can get away with wearing this in the home, but you'd never get away wearing this in public. Your breasts would tall out, and you'd be wearing one of those belly shirts.

It is a very elegant looking corset, and I know I've stressed it. I am just too tall for it.

I am going to remove two stars for this corset. It does make me feel amazingly sexy and very feminine, but. I think there should have been length's added to the measurements. Until there is, I cannot be buying any fancy knickers from EF as that is something I have to be aware of. The length of everything.
Follow-up commentary
I have tried a couple different things to try to make this corset wearable. I've stitched in strips of elastic around the bust trying to make it smaller so it doesn't slip, I've stitched in silicone strips for the same reason. I created more ruffles at the bottom to try to make the corset longer... all my efforts were for naught.

This corset has found a home at the very bottom of my "to discard trunk" for all the things I want to get rid of during my next move.

Let me stress once again, the only reason I have not enjoyed this corset was because of my height. It is about four inches too short. If you are thinking of buying this for yourself and want proper coverage, take your height into consideration!!!
