The Mesh and Lace Bustier is really a gorgeous piece of lingerie. It's not much of a bustier--it's more of a chemise. There are only two pieces of boning and the lace and mesh are very thin. This is not a piece that's going to do much shaping or sucking in. On the right body, this would look phenomenal. The lace is just gorgeous and the mesh is a nice purple color. However, if your stomach is a problem area, then this piece will just accentuate this and not hide it. Also, this would not be a great piece for women with larger breasts. With the thin material plus underwire, it is quite obvious when the bra area is too small. Personally, I found the piece to be very comfortable and well made, but not extremely flattering.

The Mesh and Lace Bustier comes with the bustier and four detachable garters. It's made of 82% nylon and 18% spandex and is very stretchy. It's purple mesh with black lace. The purple mesh has very small netting that looks almost solid at first glance. There are two lace panels on the front on the sides of the boning. and lace trim along the bra area and the bottom of the bustier. At the bottom of the front of the corset there is this odd 'M' shape where the two lace panels meet the purple mesh. The lace is truly beautiful and well made. Both it and the mesh are very thin, but are also very soft and durable. You can really feel that this piece is of high quality. I can tell that this one will last me a long time. The garters, too, are nice and sturdy even though they are made of plastic.



Overall I really like the design. While the bustier does not do any shaping, the illusion is very slimming. However, the mesh and lace really do hug and show off everything! I ordered mine in a Large which is supposed to fit a C cup with Bust 38 - 40, Waist 30 - 32, and Hips 40 - 42. My measurements are a 42/30/40. As far as sizing goes, this one fit quite well in terms of accuracy. Mine was on the larger side in terms of actually fitting (though being of stretchy material it certainly didn't seem that way). There are only two pieces of boning--plastic boning. It is much too flexible to provide any cinching or shaping. They seem to be merely decorative and don't actually do much in terms of function.

The bra portion is held up by two spaghetti straps that are actually quite sturdy. They are not removable but are adjustable. The cups themselves are demi cups with a beautiful lace trim and a bow in the middle. My breasts are a 36DD, and were too large for the cups, but if you have smaller breasts, the cups would fit quite well. The underwire is very strong and provides good support even though the cups themselves are not padded. The cups are stretchy, but only to a point. My breasts were too big to fit into the cup properly so the bra portion did not lie flat on my chest. But the structure would look phenomenal on smaller cup sizes.

Personally, I don't like the way this bustier fits. It's really really gorgeous and well made, but it's just unflattering on me. It provides no shaping and seems to mock the fact that I don't have a trim waistline or a flat stomach. The material is much too thin for it to be flattering on me. However, it is easy to put on and very durable. I just hook up the back and leave it hooked up. I shimmy into it and there have been no holes or rips in the fabric. It's thin, but it sure is strong!

Having not worn it often, I've not had the need to wash the bustier. But the instructions say to hand wash only. Personally, I never throw lingerie into the wash, especially not lace lingerie, but this one is so strong that I may throw it in on the 'delicate' cycle in a lingerie bag and line dry it.

I've worn it a few times since, and I just can't get over the fact that it's really not flattering on me. However, the material has held up well to washing. I personally hand wash all lingerie to be safe. It still looks lovely and hasn't degraded at all though! It's just not for me.
