First kiss ruffle front thong - sexy panty discontinued by Seven 'til Midnight - review by Breas

The First Kiss Ruffle Front Thong by Seven ‘til Midnight is available in a fabulous variety of sizes, from size small to 3X/4X. I had purchased the size XL for myself. Typically I don’t go out of my way to purchase thongs or g-strings because I prefer panties that cover the bum but I thought the ruffles were just so sweet on this thong!

The panty arrived in a clear plastic bag. There was no text or photos on this bag, it was used to keep the panty protected during shipping and is not idea for storing the panty when it’s not being worn. I just keep my panty in my underwear drawer. There was a cardboard tag attached to the panty when it arrived. The tag states the company name, company website, size of panty, and colour. Below is a photo of both the front and back of the panty.





The panty is 80% nylon and 20% spandex. The lace at the front of the thong (the part that covers your front area) as well as the lace that is at the front centre of the ruffled “skirt” is not stretchy. The rest of the panty (the mesh material) is. The panty also has elastic band at the waistband and around the leg holes.

I’ve taken a few measurements of the panty laying flat, unstretched. If you need additional measurements just let me know and I will get them for you.

Waistband unstretched: 15 ½ inches
Waistband stretched as much as I could: 31 inches
Widest part of material to thong that covers your front area: 6 inches
Skirt length: 4 ¾ inches
Liner length: 3 ½ inches

The panty is all white in colour, sheer, and has a skirt-like piece attached to the waistband. I’m going to call it the “ruffle skirt” when explaining it since I’m not sure what else to call it. The ruffle skirt goes all the way around the panty. At the front centre of the skirt, there is a lace panel. The panel is 4 ½ inches wide at the top of the panty. The rest of the skirt is white mesh and ruffle.



There are 3 rows of mesh ruffle along the skirt. The more you need to stretch the width of the skirt, the less ruffled these rows appear to be. So if you’re in between sizes I’d suggest going a size up. The thicker your hip area is, the less ruffled the skirt will look. When I stretched the skirt quite a bit, there were no ruffles left. Instead it just looks like random flaps of fabric and in my opinion, takes away the whole prettiness of the panty.

The rows of ruffles are approximately 1 inch in length, with ½ of the row ruffling upwards and the lower half downwards (each row is one piece of mesh, sewn through the centre). At the top centre front of the skirt, there is a pretty white bow made of ribbon. The bow is approximately 1 ¾ inches wide and 2 inches in length.

So when I tried the panty on, I wasn’t very impressed. Firstly, the ruffles at the front of the panty looked stretched so they weren’t ruffled. They were flaps of random fabric (or at least that’s what it looked like). It looked nothing like what it does on the model in the stock photo. The back of the panty looked fine with the ruffles but I did have to pull the panty up a bit higher to make sure they still looked ruffled. My hip measurement is 41 inches.

The second issue I had with the panty is the lace at the front of the thong. This is the part of the thong that covers your front area. The lace goes all the way to the end of the crotch lining. So from the top of the panty to the beginning of the liner, there are about 6 inches of just lace.

When I was wearing the panty, the lace was rubbing against my naughty bits and it really wasn’t comfortable to me. I suppose this depends on how comfortable you are with this material rubbing against your area down there; but for me it wasn’t pleasant. It wasn’t painful or anything but it was definitely noticeable and a bit irritating.

Other than the lace at the front of the thong, the mesh material was quite soft and comfortable against the skin. The care tag states that the panty can be machine washed in cold water and should be line dried. Also, the panty should not be bleached.

Overall, I’m not impressed with the panty. It’s not comfortable enough to wear as everyday style underwear, and the stretched ruffles at the front of the panty don’t look nice enough for me to wear it in the bedroom. I think that the panty will work for some people but I am not one of those people.
